I'd give it between a 6.5 and 8. I expect a few patches will be needed before Legacy hits somewhere between 8 and 8.5.

The major issue is the controls. They have a definite console feel to them and are not customizable, although you can mod them to remap them. If there isn't a patch to address the controls before January 1st, I will be VERY surprised (and disappointed). Ideally, I'd expect a complete review of the default controls to optimize them for the PC as well as UI options to reconfigure them.

Captain Archer sounds... unemotional almost in the single player. Once you get to Kirk, though, things pick up and you feel more involved. I just hit the first mission with Picard. Patrick Stewart is easily one of my favorite actors as he really makes you feel that he's supposed to be there story-wise and not just showing up to collect a pay check. I would imagine his theatre background helps him in really assuming the role. As such, I haven't really gotten too far in the TNG missions, but Stewart really makes you feel that he belongs on the Stargazer (which is the first mission.)

Too bad that the game still shows him as being on the Enterprise-A. The "hero ship" in the campaigns is the only bug I am encountering. I had Kirk captaining the NX for 2-3 missions until it got replaced with the Enterprise-A. With the first Picard mission, he's supposed to be on the Stargazer, and I think the next mission hooks you up with the Enterprise-D.

I had BETTER get both the D and E :p If so, the bug is tolerable. If not, I think the campaign will be borderline impossible. Also, I think people that are getting this bug are in the minority, which makes it very strange. Most people on the Bethesda forums seem to be just fine in the campaigns, I'm not sure why I'm not always upgrading to the proper hero ship.

Bridge Commander modders have started already so lots of the problems will be fixed in the near future I'm sure
