I'll see if I can make it full screen, but no promises.

If you cant see a new "new topic and new reply and forum banner" with SFCentre style, hit ctrl and f5 to force a refresh to see them.
They are temperary and just for testing but would like ppls opinions.

The new SFCentaur looks good except for two things.
1. The online notice blends in with the user name and makes it hard to read either 2. The year in the join date is not shown like it used to be but the exact time is... Is there any way the year could be added or at least the time could be dropped in favor for the year

skeet, looks great with the buttons!
fox, that you can change in your user control panel. board preferences, edit display options. there you'll find a "my date format" box where you can change the format accordingly. it'll also affect the join date display.

Ok. Date format is fixed but there is still the issue of the online indicator trying to hide behind or blend in with names. Yes I know it is a relatively minor issue but it can make peoples names harder to read sometimes.

I do think we need a better galaxy pic in the image above (sf centar theme). all the rest is fine but the galaxy looks somehow pixilated..maybe we can use our meshes to take a similar angled pic, kenneth?

I don't mean to sound demanding or anything but has any progress been made on the online notice trying to hide or blend in with people's user names?

it is not a priority, so no progress has been made. Once I have the time to do it, I'll get it done, but I am extremely busy.

I have made an attempt to rectify the online banner. Please wait till admin can upload the new graphic. You may need to clear ur cache in your browser to see it. I will post when the new gfx is uploaded when i know myself.

Looks good Skeeter.
I just got an interesting idea. Some message boards have notices on the top of the screen that notify people if there have been any new post since last they visited. Would it be possible to add something like that to the forum?

There kind of already is, Fox. You can bookmark threads by clicking the bookmark link at the top-left of each thread page. It appears on each page of thread, but you only need to click it the once. Any updates to a thread will then appear in your profile. (I don't think it includes edited posts though, so you won't get updates about eg. the Supremacy Pre-release thread - unless some actually posts in there, of course)

Problem is that that wouldn't let you know if there have been any new threads posted and would require going into every single topic to set that up. Another problem is that I can't seem to find the bookmark button. Could this be another lay out issue like the 'upload attachment' button was or could it be hiding in plain site?
Another thing I just noticed... Nothing is showing underneath the "Who was here today" on the index page.

Don't worry about it Fox - i've just checked and the option is apparently missinf from SFCentar. It's there on Acidtech though. (Hint hint)
I've notified Nemitor about the problem for you.

Nem has been really busy for the last week or so and has'nt had a chance to look at fixing the site problems.
He's going to have a look at all the fixes/additions that are needed as soon as he can. He's going to be busy for a little while longer yet though. Don't worry, things will get done, just not quite as quickly as we might have been hoping.

I'm not worried. I have been real busy myself lately with finals coming up next week and all. Anyhow, the 'view new posts' button is there now and works wonderfully.
Thanks to whoever got it up and working.

That would be Nem, Fox - he is doing all the site maintenance/upgrading for us, which is why we need to wait for him to make any future updates.

Sorry. It's a bad time of the year for me.
I plan to spend a few days fixing stuff in a week or two.

Don't worry Nem, there's no rush - the forums are working, and that's the main thing, even if there are niggles. We all know that people have lives to lead. Just do it as and when you can. We can't ask for more than that.

Hate to be the one to dredge up such an old topic but why is it that the user name of the last person to make a post in a forum is listed but not the name of the topic they posted in? Is it with everyone else or am I the only lucky one?

I believe thats standard with bb3, I don't recall seeing it on many forums.
I'll look into it, and maybe add it myself.
