I hope I am wrong and maybe my post sounds harsh but BOTF had it's problems and it was created by a team of profesionals no doubt working full time.

ok, before you start pishing on people, you might want to consider learning how to spell your nickname.

just a thought.

oh, and ragging on peeps who are giving up their free time without an iota of renumeration is pretty piss weak as well.

the game comes out, doesn't come out, i'm past caring tbh. i believe those who say it'll be here eventually, but there's more to life than hanging out for a freeware computer game ffs.

chatting with some pretty decent folk on these forums for the past year or so has been pretty cool, no matter what happens from here.

*i just noticed, i joined this place a year ago today. :D

Romulous - I share your feelings about the game. When I first joined I read most of the past threads and as far back as may there were posts of "it could come in 4-6 weeks".

All that happens here is negative. People say something and you expect it to happen in the next weeks or two. Months pass and nothing happens just more excuses.

I did visit here every day - but if the people making the game are too busy or w/e to finish the game any time soon or get a demo out then I aint gonna take time out to come here.

The thing is peoples hopes have been raised to the point where they are about to explode. More and more people sign up and the demo just keeps getting delayed. Time for speeduk to take a timeout.

(sorry for negativity but cant keep visiting here under false hope)

I had hoped that my negative post would provoke the developers into proving me wrong and releasing what they have (which if we are too believe what we've been told was around 7 days away from release around a month ago). Now I see that this hasn't happened and therefor this will be my last post on these forums.

The people I have sympathy for are those who were caught up in the excitement and actually did contribute. I'm talking about anyone who posted ideas in the game request forum, anyone who contributed models, tech trees or random event ideas. After getting all this attention Gavin realy dose owe you guys a lot I hope you aren't fooled by him for too long.

But Romulous we have seen the screens, i have played a part of the demo, so has Jig. I'm sure that progress is made, otherwise i would have seen no material at all. It's to bad that you go now... anyway when this game is finished i hope to see you again on a multiplayer game.

Yeah, though I don't post often I read a lot. There's been lots of good ideas and info on scifi games here. I found about ogame in a post and have been playing it ever since.

I can wait for as long as it takes!

The way i look at it is the more time the people take on it the better it will be and that brillient!

i'm willing to wait as much as necessary (though i'd prefer not to :P) for the game to come out. i prefer it takes long and comes out as a better game than BOTF.
