I'm a big trek fan! I have a GF, she thinks i'm a dork and makes fun of me when i watch the shows and movies etc. and play Star trek video games... but i don't see why being a trekie would prevent you from having a relationship with anyone! It isn't a very good stereo type! It must be more to do with they way you present yourself! Also don't talk star trek with you GF, it isn't interesting to her and she would rather talk about her day!

Look at it this way Teleon you made your GF happy by giving her reason to make fun of you!

I had on like that many years ago I just ignored her and in time she started to get into it too.......bless her!

I just need to find another now.

Exactly Teleon! It is a stupid stereotype! I guess everyone here would agree! :!:
And by the way I wonder where it came from? When did it happen that being a Star Trek fan would be not cool? And about girlfriends and boyfriends: I think that the right balance between his and her hobbies is the right thing. Believe me, my ex knows all about the Alpha-, Beta-, Gamma-. Deltaquadrants --- and I can tell y'all a lot about that Blue Mauritius or Thurn and Taxis or the history of stamps... :D
So I guess as long as you respect each other you should be fine. At least on the hobbies issue.
But I guess I shouldn't turn this thread into a relationship analysis thread.
Let me say one thing, though: if botf was a hell of a great relationship, then botf2 will be marriage till death!

I think so, too! I have to say that I love Shakespeare. Well not so much the Historic Plays but things like Macbeth, Hamlet, and the comedies...
Anyone ever heard of Christopher Marlowe? He's great, too.

Well the best known ones are probably "The Jew of Malte" and "The Tragicall Historie of Doctor Faustus".
The latter I enjoyed the most. It was the basis for Goethe's Faust. It is a compelling story about how Doctor Faustus tries to gain infinite knowledge and power by signing a contract with the devil, thus betraying God. I think the message of the play is still valid today. At least in some parts...
Marlowe live a little earlier than Shakespeare but he bassically laid the foundation of the Elizabethan literature...

8O

Oh my Gosh! Listen to myself! This is a botf2 forum so I think I should better stick to the 24th century and not the 16th...
But Teleon if you want to read any of his plays I can only recommend them to you. In the original print they are a little hard to read because the English there is even a little more ancient than Shakespeare's but still a great read.

And that's all I'll say about it.

Hey Trekboychris! I read a little further through the threads and it occured to me that you post a lot...
Welcome to the club! And about that ex of yours: don't let that give you a headache! She probably was one of those narrowminded ones who only paid attention to the facade and not to who is behind it. I'm sure you are a lovely person.

Well I'm sure boys that age have EVERY idea of what they want! :D
But I didn't know you were that young Trekboy... In that case I can only concur with what UnDated said...
Maybe not neccessarily about the part that the girls' priorities don't change over the years.

css is used in combination with xtml, html, whatever, to create a different and possibly magnificant look. You can change the appearance of tables, buttons, etc... i suspect that this lcars template has also been created with css, not sure though. But anyway it's possible that you can select different styles depending on what you like best with css. I've seen it on many sites before. But hey this is a startrek forum, so why change it? :)

Well billy let's just say I've been 39 for the last few years...
But I didn't want to say that I got the impression from you that you were young. It's just not easy to say that you ain't young just on the basis of your avatar...

Oh and iwulff: I don't wanna change a thing here! I was just getting a little converstional with my female comrade...
