Also, does anyone know how to get into the music/sound files of BOTF, 'cause I can't find where they are.

collisions? is he gona put ramming for sure? because ramming is very cheap in my opinion.
If this game IS CANNON it means that starbases and outposts will be very strong and u wont always have fleets of 9 ships together, there will be single ships seperated and moving around the map (well there should be if ya wanna be cannon)
i could simply take all my shipyards and build 9 **** ships and ram them into your base, what are u gonna do about it?

are you volantering? if so we now have two people to do the audio stuff, as i recieved a pm last night from another person willing to give time to the project. either myself or gavin will contact you with what will be need for the game.
yes ramming should be an option, but there won`t be 9 crappy ships to ram with, once a vessel is obsolete it`s gone, and you won`t want to build nice shiny new ships to waste on ramming wiil you?

Some of the modders there have used computer equipment to isolate sounds from episodes and films. They are generally in with the rest of the download information for said ship. Should be really easy to pick them out, I'll take a look, if I ever get chance to use my home pc.

i used snd converters, and that kind of stuff, but it say's that it is a invalid file or something like that , i can't get it to work . About those audio files on that site, i tried to download one but was redirected to 2-3 locations, before giving up, because there was error.

You get redirected to filefront, it does take some getting used to.
I have loads at home, I'll grab a few tonight if I get chance.

Why drive when you can be drivin. When i modded a game i used to ste... i mean 'borrow' the sounds from ready done games, and reconvert them, useually a little slower so they sounded diffrent. Sould work here, Birdge commander, and armada all use normal WAV sounds os just use them.

Let me just say im listening to them right now, they are awe inspiring and a total work of art. I really cannot get over how great and totally amazing they sound. I feel like a starfleet admiral i think your all gonna really like the default ingame music.
Bloody brilliant news.

http://www.1asphost.com , you can just upload the files, perhaps it doesn't work with music files? At least just try it. It's free, and easy to use.

Well if anyone has the bucks and can imitate the inflection of some of the characters and has a microphone and the DVD or some other audio files I would think that this would be a great way to go to making custom vocal tracks of our favorite Star Trek Characters.
http://www.sisbit.com/Category.asp?cx=16&cid=16
I was thinking about it for BC Files and Custom Missions tracks.
Anything to help!
