A star wars inspired technology that projects a image into the air. Kinda like the 3d chess set from star wars film.
20,000 quid tho. So we have to wait till it hits mainstream. But man that is cool.

Oh my god I want it!
I want it! I want it! I want it!
I've seen a simple holographics device before and I was fooled by the image. If this costs 11 grand it must be something special. The ability to manipulate stuff with your hands sound amazing though.
...I get the feeling Nintendo was somehow involved, even if they were just the inspiration.

I'm not giving anyone £6.19 so they can buy a holographic display . However, if anyone wants to give *me* £6.19, I can assure you that it will be well spent on things like beer.

Well the way i think it works is that it bounces a coloured beam to a set distance in a direction. The beam hits a air particle and the colour stays there for the time of the beam hit. Much the same way a monitor has beams that hit the glass or somit to draw a picture.

Well you see in disco's tehm powerful beam lights and you can see dust particals along the light beam wushing about in the air where the light is going along. I presume it could be somit like that how it makes particals light up. But a very focused and tight beam like the size of a pin head or much smaller.
