Television star Steve Irwin has been killed while filming an underwater documentary in Queensland. The 44-year-old, who was dubbed 'The Crocodile Hunter', was killed by a stingray barb through the chest while diving off Port Douglas. Local diving operator Steve Edmundson said: "Steve was hit by a stingray in the chest. He probably died from a cardiac arrest from the injury." Just thought it be nice to pay ur respects to a great man I rember growing up watching the croc hunter was a good man and its a shame he had to go at such a young age The most upsetting thing is his wife dosent know yet she is hikeing in some mountins somewere and carnt be reached so its very upsetting Hope hes haveing fun wresling the great croc in the sky |

I have to admit, the first time I ever "saw" him was when they made fun of him on Dead Ringers. I've seen some of his programs since then though. He was a brave bloke. At least he died doing the thing he loved doing most, and in one of the most beautiful places in the world at the same time. |

i always liked Steve's shows. And i'm sorry for his wife and kids and everyone he leaves behind. It's kinda weird. You see all these shows on tv and such, and suddenly he's dead, gone, vanished... oh btw.. don't flame. |
