Open your start menu, go to run and put in "telnet towel.blinkenlights.nl" (without the apostrophes) and you get a rather nifty ASCII code version of Star Wars Episode IV!

Found this on some website and it works! Can some one explain how though! This goes beyond my computer knowledge

Telnet connects to a remote host, so what you're seeing is not a part of Windows... only the Telnet client is.

There are quite a few ASCII video filters out there. But that doesn't make it any less impressive ;).

Strangely, Windows Vista doesn't seem to include a telnet client. Probably because it's an insecure protocol.

my version still has hyperterminal, which I believe does have Telnet support.

Well I just watched the whole thing.. I have to give it a thumbs down!

The acting is plain, no sound effects, and the screen was way too small!

(Oh by the Way, I was only kidding about the ratings..) IS it me or was it missing a few senes??

yeah, your right winterhawk. I watched it on my Ubuntu laptop, and it seemed to be missing a few of those more... graphic intensive scenes. I didnt watch the entire thing, only to the part with the Jawas... Ahhh... the memories... I feel the urge to go watch the 3 good Star Wars movies now (IV, V, VI
