I'm starting my story/novel. I have named it Romulus.

Currently I am searching for information that either IS canon or is as close to canon as is possable.

Things I am searching for include;

Complete Romulan Starmap. This would include all known planets and systems that are colonized or were subjugated through war...

Lenghts of the following:

Day, Month, Year,

A Complete Timeline chart... This would include basic dates (Federation, Klingon, Cardiassion, Ferengi,as well as Romulan).

Possable Leaders names of the first Vulcan leaders to guide the people away from Vulcan.

What was the year that these outcasts left Vulcan? ( I'm not talking about Federation Stardates or Earth Time lines) I'm looking for actual vulcan year/date...

In Truth I am doing two types of Research, one for my story, and one for a real time understanding of the Romulan Empire. I also plan to do the same for the other Major Powers as well.

Currently I have 700 pages of Romulan information, All gathered off the net.

Trust when I say I know Wikimedia and Pedia. as well as a few others like Trekmainia and about 30 others I can not name off the top of my head.

In the end I want to post all this gathered information for everyone to use as they wish. I have even sent an e-mail to Paramount to try to induce them to pass along a bit of information that would be helpful for all of us hardcases! lol So far no reply...(I actually do not expect one either)

Or as a last ditch attempt I'l take all my information bind it and send them a sample.

Ah yes, once complete my story/novel will be for everyone to enjoy! I will only publish it online and like the games that are being made, it will be FREE!.

Thanks for any support you may be able to offer.

Hawk

For basically anything Trek, with canon references I always find:
http://memory-alpha.org/
to be excellent

Apart from that there's always LCARS (forgotten the address though)

Or Wikipedia

Another resource you might want to check would be the Daystrom Institute Technical Library. I find is has one of the most comprehensive and oldest trek info libraries on the net. Though, as TrekBoy says, Memory Alpha is good as well. I don't really use anything else.

Also Winterhawk, I have some experience with proof-reading/spelling/grammar checking. Let me know if you ever need my assistance in that area down the road (probably a long way off from needing that kind of thing yet but I figured I'd throw it out there :D)

Anty , Chris and Raven;

thanks for all the Info. Chris I have been scouring through the memory alpha as well as memory Beta. some good information, but still lacking soo much information. But I do like and use both places.
Anty, That is a most interesting map. I am going to study it long and hard to be sure. To bad it is so hard to read. LOL
http://www.st-minutiae.com/academy/history162/ also is interesting and should give me even more information for sure.

Raven Daystrom Institute is loaded with information. Oh how I enjoy digging for information.

Of all the races I wonder why so little has been written on the Romulan Empire. I mean seeing as it is about the only one in the BETA Quadrant, one would think that much more detail would be somewhere.

Looks like it is going to be up to us to correct this! LOL

Oh How I do love a challenge!

And Raven thanks for the offer of proofreading. I'll take you up on it for sure! I do not mind having help, heck I'd even enjoy sharing the building of this story with others!

The romulans are one of the most secretive races so that is why is very little info on them. I presume .
