well what are u planning? I mean thw way i see it is that the hexmap will be above the lowest layer, which will be some beackground, and under the other things. And what kind of format are you searching for? Just a jpg or gif? Or actually a creator, which can be implemented into the game?

well we first need some indication of how large the map is needed to be. Because this way in .jpg or .gif it will be static, so there have to be size for it and how large are the hexes going to be, in pixels?

I have a hex texture fill, built into photoimpact, so really all i need is the image size and its a simple one button fill jobbie.

I did a 1024x768 one jsut to show you what i mean. Its a gif with transparent background so litteraly the hex just shows through, so any background can be showned behind it.

Yes ofcourse, that would be the better way, i already posted one for Gturfrey with PM, really nice one, but perhaps to big. This would make it all easier. I knew it was better with transparent, because there has to be a background layer under it, anyway i will post the link here for my hex map. White lines, black filled:

Perhaps the lines are to grey? I exportet it into Photoship and saved it there as a quality 0 .jpg

With hexmaps there is one problem, a 75x75 map, would be longer in length, then it would be in width, look at the .jpg i made the post before. :oops:

Tjhree posts i a row Iwulff, nice. Any way your right about a hex not fitting togather right, its a 2 x 1.5 fit i think. but it dont matter, if the maps retangul adn not square i dont mind.
