plain text bits that start with http:// don't need extra url-tag-wrapping so it's best to just let the browser recognize and highlight them as link.

MoE, I think one can see here the problem I was pointing out lately with the tags. I bet wookie pressed on the url button once when he began writing the post and last when he finished the writing and normal behaviour would be to just start and finish writing and afterwards marks and tag the in-text urls, but that doesn't seem to work with him too.

something's IS wrong with the tagging either I cannot explain that it works with the botf1-afc-site but not here..

With tagging you press the 'URL' button just before you copy a link in and then 'URL'after you finish the link. No spaces either.

i dont know how to do that thing where they add a link though and add there own words instead though.

@ oh I quite like elfs........

pretty easy (i put every letter in brackets here so that the interpreter/parser doesn't recognize it) "["U"R"L"="<url_name>]" <random_name> "["/"U"R"L"]"

that's the way to do url links with own names.

i know about clicking on the tag buttons once and twice but I only wanna do this once when I have a url marked and I expect the bbcode parser to just know where to set the url tags automatically. Don't know what I mean? go in botf1afc site, post a reply and write something down, mark it with the mouse and press once on the url tag, then you'll know what I'm missing here.

btw. I don't even use those buttons anymore and write it manually with the [...]-tags..
