The news channel went live today and I suddenly had this urge to ask who else had a wii?

Also has anyone taken advantage of the virtual console? I've downloaded 4 games so far, but none are fantastic. Think nintendo could improve in this area.

lmao, well someone had to say it I guess

I've played one for about an hour, though currently I'm not impressed. It doesn't seem all that different to me. In Wii Sports it's just the same as the other consoles: punch in a series of buttons to make the character do a certain animation. Except with the Wii, you move the controller a certain way to make the animation happen. I was hoping there would be more direct control rather than the programmable animations they currently have. Also, I don't think FPS's will fair very well on the console, I found Red Steel to be pretty awkward to control.

But everyone has different tastes. A lot of people seem to like the Wii and that's good for Nintendo

Yes i got a Wiii. Only got Zelda and that game that came with the wii. I might get monkey ball, seems really nice. Havent got it connected yet to the internet, though.

Btw.. i heard people talking that redsteel had a very good control, while other saying it's bad. Perhaps it has a steep learning curve?

i dont have one (though I do have a 360)

i hear from friends that its "meh", and "not so good"

and I have played it a lot, and i think that it gets annoying swinging your arm after the first game or so.

I have to agree with this, I thought the movement you made would move character you were playing as.

But if you get wario ware, you'll forget all about it as it the craziest game i've ever played. And takes full use of the unique controller.

Also red steel is a bit wierd, but alot of shoot 'em ups have very similar controls on older consoles. Takes a but of getting used to.
