Viacom.... who owns Paramount, M-TV and a bunch of others had a news announcment early today that it told you tube to PULL all the clips from all it's shows that people have posted because they could not agree on a revenue sharing program or some such nonsence...

CBS took over paramount and viacom and according to some news I heard (including the ones from zach in the hailing frequencies podcast) they are encouraging fanbased games such as this how was it called..don't know some free MMORPG other than this commercial sto which will possibly never get done or in the year 2525 :)

well keep researching for such things, surely helps us to adapt quickly to new situations.

exactly (don't know more parts of the lyrics of that song .. ;)).

found a report on that youtube-thing:
http://fredericksburg.com/News/apmethod ... 1O4AG1.xml

that youtube-thing isn't a surprise, viacom already demanded the removal back in october last year..
well it seems to me, that they are getting aware of someone first if you reach a certain popularity and that they tried to negotiate a deal, so we can calm down here IMHO.

And in the words of Mr Burns from the Simpsons.. "Excellent"

the free mmo was to be destinys wind, however it had fallen flat after the project lead took all donations and vanished. this is one of the main reasons i have always turned down donations for these projects, if they fail we`d be accused of ripping people off. or at least i would be

hehe, yeah one shouldn't at least donate money into a private bank account with one-person single access for that matter. A little more sophisticated banking/planning would prevent such things from happening but anyway I listened again to zach's HF ep 30 and it's "Second Life" mentioned there so I don't know if that's the same as destiny's wind, but I think if I understood zach right then the mmorpg is still up&running.

well anyway in that episode zach also speculated about CBS's (positive) engagement in fanbased game sectors so we may experience a flourishing period concerning "support" (or better leaving alone here ;)) from star trek copyright&content owners, at least I hope so :)
