Star Trek: Supremacy Supremacy is a game being created by Mike Strobel ('mstrobel' on the forums). Supremacy is graphically an absolutely beautiful game, and is being based on many next-generation technologies to make it as advanced as possible - but don't worry, it WILL work on Windows XP as well as Vista. You can download a pre-release of Supremacy in the link below. The pre-release has certain installation requirements which MUST be met before the game will work. Please read the post that you see when you click the link before downloading the game from the download link contained in that post. Once these requirements are met, no game installation is required - you just need to unzip the game, and away you go. The download link is updated on a regular basis, so check the thread out often! The datestamp of the thread is also updated so you know when the most recent release was posted. Star Trek: Supremacy Pre-Release Download Star Trek: Allegiance Star Trek: Allegiance is a browser-based game that is being developed by Nemitor_Atimen. Instead of downloading it and playing it on your computer, you will play it via your browser, so unlike the other games, you won't need to download anything big. It's a little bit confusing to explain a browser-based game, but if you've ever played games such as X-Wars or Space4k, it will be similar to those. The game won't have an AI nor will you be in control of an entire Empire - instead, each Planet in the game will be owned and run an individual player, who is controlling that Planet on behalf of the Empire. You will have to pay taxes and take part in special functions for your Empire, but in exchange the Empire will defend you where possible and will spend your taxes on projects that will strengthen the Empire as a whole. Allegiance is not yet open to the public, but a test will occur in a few months time. We will announce this on the forums when it happens. Star Trek: Birth of the Empires (BotE) BotE is a a game being developed by a group of Germans, led by SirPustekuchen. SirPustekuchen started his project completely separate from us in 2004, and his project went public in 2006. We became aware of each other shortly after and are now supporting each other and helping translate BotE into English for them. These forums are also hosting their downloads and providing graphics etc. where needed. BotE is a downloadable game that was originally intended as a spiritual successor to BotF - recent fears over legalities has meant that the Trek content is in the process of being removed, however. The game will now feature new content. HOWEVER, a Trek mod will eventually be made - in fact it will be actively encouraged. This wil allow the developers to avoid the legal issues, whilst also being able to have Trek content in the game. The de-trekking work is still in progress. I will post a link here as soon as one becomes available. Star Trek: New Beginnings This is a game being made by BOTF modder extraordinaire Jigalypuff. Jigalypuff took it upon himself to create a BOTF2 game when the original BOTF2 programmer - GTurfey - simply disappeared - along with EVERYTHING he had apparently made. However, due to the recent introduction of the other games, Jigalypuff scrapped his project and decided to create a completely different game - in fact it will be a completely different genre of game. He has released few details about this game, although he has mentioned that Bridge Commander may be a similar experience to what he is planning. Development work on New Beginnings is temporarily on hold whilst Jigalypuff does some work for a commercial project. Once this project is complete, he will continue working on the game again. |

So is there any new information since this was posted? I loved the first BOTF except for its obvious flaws. I've been seeing some sporadic posts but that's about it. Just wondering what's goin on and who's alive. |

The new original content version of BOTE is due out on the 24th of march i believe and a english version along with the trek mod for the new version will be released as soon as its done. ST Allegiance is on hold. Supremacy is coming along fine. Jigs game is on hold as far as i know. |
