Star War's was peaceful after the Clone Wars until those pesky Rebel's caused a stir! 
A lot more interesting and diverse, too. Star Trek was all about the human interpersonal stories, though, and Star Wars all about grand clashes of ideas and politics. (Or maybe it was supposed to be about interpersonal relationships too, but King George doesn't count that amongst his strong suites) I'd love to live in a world where nobody really has to work for a living too though
