C&C 3 is not turn based, but rather Real Time. TBS (Turn based Strategy) and RTS (Real Time Strategy) are very different genres. C&C3 is one of the first RTSes to successfully be ported to a console, although there have been attempts (SC64) BOTF/BOTF2 are Turn Based. Allegiance is a crazy mixture of tons of genres, but thats unimportant since its an online game. TBS games require a LOT of mouse movement and little keyboard or joystick, and thus make it difficult to select individual buttons on the screen with a console controller. For RTS this was almost as bad of a problem as TBS, but with new AI, camera, controls, etc. it is possible, as C&C3 and soon Halo Wars will show. I'm not saying it would be impossible to do, im just saying that unless you want to redesign the whole UI it would be awkward and annoying to play. |
