I currently only have the 1.2 version of the original Botf game which I have added extra ship, phaser and photon textures too. I'm looking forward to playing one of the finished upgrades for Botf, although I'm not sure which one to try, if you have any suggestions please let me know. I would also love to play Botf online, I know how to host a game, connct to a game and play, thats easy. The hard part is finding another human player to join me in a game online, since the MSN Zone no longer exists, how do people play online? Do people still play online, and if so, do they play the original game or one of the upgrades? Do Birth of the federation clans exist, and if so, how do I myself or others find them? I would very much appreciate any information posted in response to this subject. Thank you. |

well i wouldn't say clans but there is a lively community here at http://www.armadafleetcommand.com/botf and a german one dedicated to botf online playing at http://www.botf-united.com or .org I dont know right now. I would recommend waiting on the new Ultimate Dominion Mod 2 release since the 3D tactical combat occasional crashes have been solved and don't occur in multiplayer anymore making the game a 100% stable. |

Would be best to play botf over hamachi, a lan like internet tool so when your gaming online you use lan options in games. |
