That is very nice. With Paramount working on a redo of the original Star Trek it makes me wonder what the NCC-1701 will look like in the new movie. |

I dono this would to me look more of a refit between the ToS and STMP before I would say a movie that is based off a young Kirk years, but they really dont say what time frame they are working on considering Matt Damon is 35 yrs old and is showing it these days. ( oh yeah it is still suppose to be we dont know who is playing Kirk still right)  hehe!!! but is would be cool to see this lovely in CG flight.

Yeah, I've seen this ship before. There was a thread quite a while ago about it, with links to a site where the person who made it was developing the model. He had no intention of making it into a film or anything, he just wanted to reimagine the big E with the latest graphics. He didn't agree that remaking the graphics for TOS should mean just slapping a bit of makeup on the model and leaving it at that. He wanted to completely reimagine her from the ground up and make her more militaristic/closer to the NX-01 style. I personally LOVE this new model, and some people may think it's a heinous crime, but she's much better than the NCC 1701 ever was. God just imagine what the NCC 1701-D would look like with this treatment...
