Is there any way to alter things like the color scheme? The glaring white on a lot of the pages is kind of hard on the eyes after a while. Also, it is a pretty minor issue, but is there a way to switch the post info from the right side of the posts to the left... I know it is no big deal but it kinda feels weir.

Sorry for complaining and all. It's not that I don't like the new forum, there are more options, new features and all that outnumber the bad. I just though it might be worth mentioning the bad and just getting it over with.

nem is working on some themes for the site so everything will get some colours eventually. give him some time . I personally like the acid tech and subsilver theme that you can choose from your user control panel best..


btw. where's that new yesterday, new today (members) feature? I really liked seeing the influx of people right at hand..
also, the staff room posts should always have a "no new post" sign at left hand side for the regular user, cause I can't read it and the yellow new post reminder nags me in the long run .
lastly, can we remove that "successfully logged-in"-page? it's naggin me too you know

I installed a few themes in case you didn't like the default. Read the FAQ I posted above.

My current theme has the user info on the left, since I don't like it on the right, for example.

mal - I'll see if I can get the new stats back, I'll try to get auto redirect for the login (or you can just always stay logged in).

yeah, sfcentar is even better! if we could only make a dominion skin out of it by exchanging that sf centar logo with BOTF2 insignias and a nice dominion emblem.

since the pic only show the galaxy, you might remove the nebula and starbase part in the credits if you want. derek brealey of course should stay as author of the pic.
btw. do we get our former news-front-page back? if so, we could use alternating pics like the ones above as dynamic background (with a little transparency effect of course). there are tons of it more on sharepoint in that same folder..

Don't worry Mal, we will be a getting a news page of some kind in the future, but there are tons of things to be done with the forums yet so it will likely be a few weeks before everything is as should be. Our current priority is sorting out the horrible themes and making the forums more Trek like. Once that is done, we can focus on news pages, coppermine, and a download section.

Depends, it will most likely be a staff decision i think tho.

Yeah, it probably will be a staff decision, but if anyone wants a specific theme, then all they have to do is send the link for that theme to Nemitor and he will see if he can install it for you. Not many people have sent him suggestions yet, which is why there are so few.

Also were still testing themes, and probably wont have more than 6 themes to choose from, but dont worry we should have a dedicated trek theme similar to the old botf 2 site had, and some other nice ones. Depending on time and availability.

btw. there's a small glitch in the graphics above (sf centar theme). you can see it if you look closely on the left hand side. one needs to brush over that black thing in order to remove that "thing".

If it's not too much trouble could a version of the SFCentuar be made that has the poster information on the left side of the screen? For some reason it feels weird looking for the information on the right.

Yeah we are working on this as nem hates it on the right like me but strangly im getting used to it a bit now.

it must be cause one starts reading text from the left so it seems kinda normal for us to look there. bet i feel a little de-accustomed when it gets back the usual way again .

I hate it on the right. It drives me insane. For that reason I'm using Acid, since it has it on the left.

I am working quite hard on putting it on the left, shoudl have it there soon.

sfcentar is done, although having it on the left seems to take up more space than usual. Meh, I'll handle it later.

Nem, why does acidtech only take up part of the screen when the other themes are full screen? Big empty spaces are taking up the left and right of the screen. It's better that way when your looking at the board index, but is annoying when you're looking at posts, especially if those posts have images in them. Any images that are larger than the posts are put into scrollboxes. It's annoying, but acidtech is definitely still my favourite theme.
