First, a about a week ago it was leaked that Ness, Jigglypuff, and Lucario are in Brawl.

*Note: Upon studying the picture on the site closer it looks like the ears on the yellow Pokemon are too long meaning Pichu is likely in Brawl.*

Despite that the most impressive leak to date seems to have come today... A friend of one of my roommates sent him a link for a youtube video containing what appears to be the Japanese intro for Super Smash Bros Brawl. While there have been a lot of faked footage and pics claiming to be taken from Brawl that reveal new information about the game but most of them have proven to be fake. This one seems to be a bit different though for two reasons.

1. It contains the official Brawl opening theme
2. It contains bits of footage that was officially released by Nintendo and contains new fully 3d footage that is seamlessly integrated with the old footage.

If this is indeed a fake then it is one that would have taken months in order to complete so for the reasons mentioned above I do think it is genuine. Also, before you get your hopes to high I should inform you that the quality of the video isn't that spectacular as it looks like it was footage taken from a TV with a video camera so some of the details are a bit fuzzy. None the less it does look impressing.

So without further adieu I present to you the leaked Japanese version of the Super Smash Brawl opening.

Also, I feel as though I should point out a few details in case you might not have noticed. In the very start of the video the figure on the far right is Olimar who has a red Pikmin on top of his head. To his right are the yellow and blue Pikmin followed by the Ice Climbers, Meta Knight, Link, Wario and then a blurry figure that looks like it could be Ike. To the left of that figure is another blurred image. This is the one I really can't make out very well. It looks there could be two characters right next to each other but it/they definitely appear to be Fox-like. The main part of the image appears to be gray, the wrong color to be Fox, yet it does resemble the footage from Super Smash Melee that showed a close up of Wolf piloting his Wolfen II. Just to the right of this figure the color seems to match color of Fox's reddish brown fur (you can compare it to the color of Fox in my avatar, they should match up fairly well,) indicating that Fox and Wolf might just be standing next to each other. Then again, because the footage seems to be taken from a TV via video camera there could be some discoloration in addition to the blurriness.

*Quick note... After hitting the pause to better see who was next in the line up the blurriness around the figure seems to have cleared and it seems as though it is Fox and I cannot make out any indication that Wolf is there. I left in the speculation about wolf because I have been unable to reliably get scene more than once that clearly showed Fox so there is still a chance, albeit a small one that Wolf could be in the line up as well.*

Continuing on in the line up... After Fox is Zelda followed by Bowser, Pitt, Yoshi, King Dedede, Wario, Peach, Lucas, Samus (in her armor), DK, Pikachu, Mario, Diddy Kong, Bulbasaur, the Pokemon trainer, Squirtle, and Charizard.

Another interesting note... One of the times I paused the video around the end of the lineup with Mario on the screen it looked like there may have been some blurry figures in the background that looked like they might have been soldiers of the Subspace Army. Again, like with the footage of Fox I was unable to see this more than once. Also, while I was unable to spot him in the initial video of the lineup, in the scene directly after Kirby is clearly visible meaning that he is also hidden in the lineup somewhere as well although I was unable to tell exactly where.

So, in all likelihood all the characters listed above that were in the starting line up will be the characters available to choose from at the start of the game.

Also, at about 1:30 into the movie is a character that looks like Marth who make another appearance at about 1:44 only this time he is running along with both Meta Knight and Ike. Besides Marth being an unconfirmed character is Ness who is shown with Lucas at around 00:40 in the movie.
