Damn it! We need to start nerding Trek up again!

They are really pushing trek where i am. From cups at burgerking to my pop corn box it is all over! I like it! im sure that they will come out with models like they did with tng.

It's funny, since the film was released there hasn't really been any mention of it around where I live. Of course, people round here would beat you up for looking like a Trekkie, let alone talking about it, but still...nothing. Odd.

Its a lot diffrent over here. We had tuns of tv commercials for star trek tuns!

where I live NOW people think that ALL the stars in the sky are PLANETS and some think the earth is flat so if I say STARTREK I get burned in the village square for blasphemy

the movie was cool and I think its nice they made it funner for the avarge joe

startrek is not just a movie or a show its a vision and thats why I love it so much and I hope........... no I KNOW that we will realize our STARTREK soon in reality ..... yes soon hopfully it won't be war of the world kinda first contact becuase that would suck

There will be a movie even though the writers have not worked on it yet. Talk is about filming in 2010 and release in 2011.
Paramount has not announced plans for a TV series so far. Give it time.

What do you think the story will be if they do another tv show?

What I personally would want it to be (And I imagine most long-time Trek fans would want): A wholly new series set even further into the future. That or a series set on the Titan.

What they would probably make: TOS Reimagined.

Oh yes! A new series that takes 20 years ahead of Deep Space Nine. And please a bit more tactical. I want to see fights, new ships, strategy and technology.

Not a single starship captain but more than one. I dont like the idea of a single federation ships that does 90% of all events happening in the universe. I also want to see other ships with other captains that will perform good things, so that you can compare a vast amount of ships together.

For example, we have a "fleet" of ships that got the order to maintain balance in a few sectors. The fleet got many ships like souvereign (Enterprise) Defiant-class ships for border patrol, a central station for example a Deep Space Starbase and so on.

In the series the episode will show HOW the federation works and not only a single ship. You can see traders that get escorted by Defaint class ships, you see shipyards and for example an invasion of pirates and the federation will repel the attack. You have spy-ships and countermeasures, you engage in order to answer ditress calls and so on. *dreaming*

Building stuff and researching is my personal preference. In most games I don't attack until i've researched and built everything. And then I attack en masse muahaha...

There are plnety of clans/guilds forming ready for the game. I remember that Lotus Fleet offered to be allies to any BOTF2 clans that form in the future. I remember they posted on the forums, but the search unction can't find the post. It might be the post was lost during the downtime a few months ago. I imagine the offer is still open though.

So what do you guys plan to do? What sort of career path would you all follow?

I wanna be a Captain of a deepspace exploringvessel everytime ignoring my first officer and be the first one on an unknown planets surface.

I would like to be a crazy trader that will manage to accomplish a trade-contract with the borg in order to gain some "nice" things from them.

And THEN I build with a pirate-crew the best ship ever made and try to do a genozide on the tribbles. Then I will get emeperor of the klingon empire and be happy.

Given my astrophysics/cosmology background, I would definitely be an Engineer. Actually, I did that in the Alt.StarFleet.RPG game I played 3 years ago
