Hey lawman, welcome to the forums! :)

First thing's first: Supremacy is NOT a mod. It is a game in its' own right. You do NOT need BOTF to play it. The download thread is located Here.

To acquire BOTF, you don't even need a CD anymore. Our old parent site, ArmadaFleetCommand, (AFC) have a downloadable, no-cd patched version of the game. You need to sign up to AFC before you can access the downloads area however.

AFC also has tons of mods for the game, such as the Ultimate Dominion Mod 3 (UDM3). Many of which are still actively being developed too.

Happy downloading.

I don't know if people have been able to play BOTF in Windows 7 i'm afraid. Coincidentally though, someone just posted a message on the AFC forums asking the same thing. No one has replied at the time of me writing this, but they might have by the time you read it, so Check Out The Thread.

QUESTION: Does BoTF work on Windows 7?

ANSWER: YES. I have Windows 7, and have been happily playing BoTF for about two months now. Here's how it works:

1. Install BoTF (probably from .iso is your best bet)
2. If you run it the way it is, it will freeze and crash, due to Windows 7 not being able to automatically dumb itself down to those levels
3. Enter compatibility mode... to enter compatibility mode on Windows 7:
3a. Right Click on the icon I am sure you have placed on the desktop, and click "Properties"
3b. Click the "compatibility" tab
3c. check the "run in compatibility mode" check box
3d. set the compatibility for "Windows 98/Windows ME"
3e. in the settings area, turn the following things on:
- Run in 256 colours
- Run in 640 x 480
- Disable Visual Themes
- Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
4. Click "Apply"
5. Run trek.exe (that is the icon you have just edited)
6. Have fun playing BoTF
7. Yes, it also works with mods
8. :borg:
