By this, I mean the plastic kits from Revell/AMT/etcetera

I got a 10cm long model of the Harrier jumpjet. 1:144 scale. yes 10cm. just over 3.5" long.

since rulers have the notches between inches at .16: 1inch, 3.16 is 4 inch and this model is 3.10"long.

(Then a foot is 12 inches... I don't know which is worse, the 16 to an inch and 12 to a foot, or the monetary system in the Harry Potter books, some number of knuts to a sickle, 17 sickles to a galleon. *scratches head* damnit guys, make sense!)

But yeah, this is my first model in over 10 years. I'm 22 in a month... and damn. I was hopin' for an easier, 6-inch model or something.

The sooner the imperial system is decimalised, the better. And come to think of it, we need to decimalise the clocks as well. We should launch a political party to put across our decimalisation agenda. This will be our year!
