Okeey i was busy with learning a bit more of flash, when i began with this project of my own. I know that there are still quite a few errors and i also have to create a lot of stuff with it. I recommend an 1600x1200 resolultion, and because there aren't any loading screens yet, have some patience when loading the species, when using ISDN or lower. If someone here has got a good understanding of how flash works and how swf's into sw'f into swf's can work correct, please contact me on iwulff@hotmail.com via MSN. Just as i said only the home buttons and the species buttons work for now. There aren't any animation yet in the index screen but that will also come. I am also planning to implement some sounds. Just tell me what you think about, what should be different and stuff like that. |

Iwulff, this database is incredible! 8O My computer has a max resolution of 1024x768 pixels, but if I set it to full screen, I can read it. I know it isn't finished yet, but one question: - Why is there a picture of a Tholian under the maps section? ... I have no experience with any sort of programming or the like, but I might be able to send you some sound effects that could be useful. I'll have a look in the program files for my games. That's where I usually get the files that I need. Oh, did you find the movies from the Warp 2 Starship Creator program after? I sent Jigalypuff a list of the movies, so I'll send him them, if he wants any more. I've already sent him the species 8472 one. |

yes i did find the movieclips. very nice... I really could use some of those computer bleep sounds as in startrek. The Tholian is just there because i wanted to try something. It will be removed in the final version. |

I've sent you an email with some computer sounds in iwulff. Well actually, they are more computer voices than sounds. If you had asked me for them about three months ago, I would have had loads, but my computer completely crashed, and I haven't been able to find where I got a lot of my files from. I'll keep looking though. The file is 962kb when zipped so it's gonna take you a while to download it, and even then i'm not sure how useful it will be for you. And since it's going through yahoo's email attachment and virus scan thingie, it's actually at 1.307Mb - sorry about that. Oh, i'm not bragging or anything, but I HAVE an ADSL connection. A 1Mb one if you want to know. It's really hard to tell how big the files are when you download them, coz they download so quickly! |

okeey i did a small yet very important update. I now know how to open swf's into swf's while keeping everything working and nice! You can now only choose the Acamarians in the species link, but it's a start and the first always takes longest to do. I will be busy with a loading screen, the entire database is at the moment only 100kb in size in .sfw files. I will finish the quadrant races in a moment and will update them sometime tommorow. If you notice any errors beside the Tholian link, please tell me! |

something else please have some patience while loading things. The load screen hasn't been implemented yet, so you don't know if it loads. But i have tested it and it works. |

I've added a loading thingy into the flash files. I have also edited a error with the species button in the index. If you see any errors then please tell me. I will be adding in the species section, a slideshow which you can see in the leftabove screen, which can be used for most races. This will happen automaticly and there will not be any buttons you can press for forward or back or anything. I will also enlarge the text a bit for the species, by i think 2 points. That's it! |

Looks very nice. Maybe you can make the button work better. At the moment you have to press somewhere above the button text but can't click on it. I'm refering to buttons Species and Home in particular. |

Indeed, if you point directly at the text, the pointer changes to a text select pointer and is nonclickable. It's OK though, you can still select if you simply, point a little bit above the text. |

Looks good. Can't wait this it's all done. 1600x1200 isn't a popular resolution.....infact...I can't get that high... But I can read it at 1200x1024 ok... |

I've had another look and it does look better with the bigger text Coz of my low res monitor) I can't see any other mistakes at the moment, it all works fine. (But the Tholians are still under maps) Iwulff, completely unrelated, but your avatar doesn't seem to be working, and hasn't all day. And Michae1ange1o, my internet is a base rate of £14.99 a month, but you have to pay for the download limits (£1.50 extra per GB) |

way to go on the flash! :D i realy love it! a good source for lcars beeps honks n whistles would be the elite force games, plenty of computer voice wav's too, i think i extracted about 50 ... including some strange ones saying stuff like "beef pudding" "bolian stew" and "tribble suflet" ... think they were from the replicators ... its gonna take me a few days to rebuild my machine as i had to sterilise it due to an unknown trojan but when i do i can send a pile --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- you using BT broadband matress? the 1gig download limit? crikey id expend that in a day .. get blueyonder 1 meg and its about the same price and it has unlimited downloads |
