The creators behind the upcoming Facebook game, Star Trek: Infinite Space, have released 3D views of what two of the most famous ship models, the Galaxy and B'rel classes, will look like in their upcoming game. The views aren't just static pictures - they are 3D environments embedded within the webpage, and the models can be viewed from any angle by clicking and dragging your mouse over them. You can even zoom in and out with your mouse scrollwheel.

Check out The Page to see the two demos.

The models are supported by the game’s Unity 3D flash-based browser engine, which you'll need to download and install before the views will work. The download is only small, weighing in at 570kb. You can download it by going Here.

Announced last year, Infinite Space is due to be released in Summer 2011 and will be a free-to-play, browser based MMORPG based on the above Unity3D flash engine. As you can see in the demos, the engine is extremely powerful and is used by several leading game developers including EA Sports and Activision for their own games.
