From Treckmovie.com: Production begins on Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Syfy has announced that production on has begun on the two-hour pilot — and potential new series — "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" in Vancouver, Canada. The network has also issued a fresh synopsis: Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome takes place in the 10th year of the first Cylon war. As the battle between humans and their creation, the sentient robotic Cylons, rages across the 12 colonial worlds, a young, talented fighter pilot, William Adama (Luke Pasqualino), finds himself assigned to one of the most powerful Battlestars in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly find himself at odds with Coker (Ben Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 47 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet. In semi-related news, the MMORPG "Battlestar Galactica Online" has gone live. The game will be exclusively available on Syfy — click here for UK — for its first six weeks. Here’s a little information from the press release (which you can read in full here): Battlestar Galactica Online is based on the acclaimed Emmy and Peabody Award-winning television series Battlestar Galactica, which aired for four seasons on Syfy. Set during the latter part of the show’s second season, the game takes the form of a previously "untold chapter," in which both the Colonial and Cylon fleets are stranded in an uncharted area of space. Heavily damaged and low on critical supplies, both fleets must fight for control of the resources in the nearby star systems as the Colonials desperately search for a way to escape before the Cylons regain enough strength to destroy them once and for all. |

I'm glad to see they're working on the new series. But I still think they should've carried on with Caprica. I for one really liked it. |

Caprica was a bit of fail as duno about you but gangster clothes and their worlds look too much like how we live now. Just was a mess imo and didnt really feel like battlestar galactica universe i.e bsg but on planets not ships. The only thing i liked was the sexy bits in the first ep or two and the holoband tech and of course the cylon even tho it seemed crap compared to the 80s men in suits versions which i thought were alot more menacing looking and behaved real cos they were men in suits lol cgi just cant capture that feeling. What id like to see is a new space based bsg but during the war i.e when it breaks out and just before so we can see what cylons were like when they were mass produced and everywhere on all the colonies and id love to see the revolt. |
