For all of you who bought the DVD of Nemesis, how many thought the alternative ending was about a million times better. To me it was much more start-trekie! Very reminiscent of The Undiscovered Country. You know they were considering it because it went to post. You can tell because the blue screens that would have been on the windows and view screen were dubbed with CGI. I just want to know what everyone else thinks.

I don't have it, do you mean the thing with the chair? They ended up removing the seat belts and using the chair in Enterprise.

i take it you meant when picard was asked to try out the new captains chair, he sat down and some kind of automated seatbelt system deployed, he laughed and said "it's about time" .... i cant be sure till i find my copy

Yes but the line "It's a place where...where no one has gone before", I mean it's STAR TERK and if this is the last move of the next generation crew, like were it is, it should have ended like a star trek movie

I liked the alternate ending of Nemesis. Perhaps if had been tacked on to a different movie, I would have liked it more.
I just can't understand why the movie was made the way it was. There is no homage to the Wrath of Khan, it was a rip-off of the Wrath of Khan. Where the movies made the Klingons a new race, Nemesis killed off the romulan Senate in the opening sequence. The movie doesn't really have Romulans in it....
And I do not want to even begin with B4 Data clone. Needless to say, I was and still am very disappointed in Nemesis. It wasn't the way I wanted the TNG crew to go out, or even go.
Still humbly your servant,
Captain Hornblower of HMS Sutherland.

The only thing i never liked about Nemises was they used remans instead of romulans. And I would have liked the schimitar or whatever to be a new tal shiar top secret project that was going to be tested against the federation. That and the fact i always thought romulus and remus were both populated with romulans, jsut that the rich lived on romulous and the poor working class lived on remus. I never expected a subjegated race on remus. Totally spoiled it for me.
Although saying that i did like the cgi space battles. and inside the new remans ship but i hated the story about a cloned picard. Thought that was the worst bit.

It makes you wonder HOW they got the DNA sample though.
It was obviously taken a few years before the film is set, so that the clone could be made, and allow it to grow.
And then it was sent to the Reman mines, when a new Government came in, so it must have been quite a while.
And what would the reason for choosing Picard be? For all the Romulans knew, Picard could have died by the time the clone was fully grown!
I think this just points to inadequate thought about the plot on the writer's part.

Personally I would have preferred it if it was Picard! 8O
Oh come on! How could you forget the tiny little lifeforms song?
Your storyline would have been much more fitting of a Star trek film, HHornblower. The story line of Nemesis just didn't work out.
If only the writers of trek just decided to have a read of a trek encyclopedia for once, or simply got some sense! At this rate though, it will never be...and they took Enterprise down with them...
