Hi...unless I'm missing something, I don't see that you have anyone signed up to compose an original soundtrack for the game. I'm a trained musician, and I would LOVE to step in and fill this role. Whoever's in charge of that sort of thing, please send me a PM. Thanks!

Disregard this, I just read elsewhere on the forums that original music has indeed already been written...oh well

A sample of my work can be downloaded at . This is an alternate theme song I wrote for the show Enterprise back before season 3 started.
Since BOTFII will have its in-game music player, perhaps it would be useful to have multiple music sets the users can choose from? I could write alternates for anything you need - combat music, exploration music for each of the races, anything. Just ask and ye shall receive

Thanks for the compliments, Jarok - I minor in composition at a major conservatory in the United States.
I decided to sit down and crank out an example of the kind of music I could contribute to BOTF2 so you guys could get a better idea of what I have to offer - so here is some Romulan music
Enjoy!

Your Romulans music sounded good to me.
Even if its not in there in a official capacity, if you make more music, I'd add it to my song list for the game.

enjoy you say? well yes i did, and if i may say, a masterfull piece of work.
i believe jon has only done the music for the federation, at least thats all i have heard so far. His was also excellent. So by all means continue, we cann add more music which would allow for a broader experience within the game itself.

Wow! How long did it take you to make these?
I'd love to be able to make music like this...all I can do is string sound effects together and hope for the best..
Could I suggest the Klingons next? I know a certain Klingon that would greatly appreciate music for his empire...it'll be a pleasant surprise when he returns from his second spiritual slaughter of Jem'Hadar!

I certainly did notice the influence! That is so cool!
Can't wait for an update - but take your time, there's nothing worse than something that is rushed; there's also nothing better than something that has had the proper time to be made!
I prefer the Klingon one as well by the way - but that isn't saying anything bad about the Romulan music! (Coz you can't say anything bad about it by the way)

The Romulan music is very cool - I think you capture that personality well in your music. I especially liked the string 'chorale' in the beginning. 8O (I'm a violinist myself). The middle section would be awesome Romulan battle music! 8O
The opening of the Klingon music is also very awesome. One minor question, though: I like how you capture a Star Trek 'sound' without really quoting anything, but couldn't you stick the little Klingon trumpet motive in there? Maybe even as subtle as scoring it with a trumpet line? Anyway, a great start!
Again, you do most impressive work! Who do you like to model your compositions after?

Oh, i've just thought, i've got some Klingon battle music on my computer. I'll send it to you if you want to have a listen, TerakRall.
That has some Trumpets in it at the start by the way. Actually, it might even be the music from the original films...I don't actually know.

Don't worry, my spies are on the lookout for such activities!
And I still want more music!
