This is the funniest thing I've seen since Team America. It contains some profanity, just in case anyone here is easily offended.

OMG, this one is absolutely great!!!
Especially since they are about right at everything. Those things are just plain stupid. As with most movies in general if you think about it.

It makes you cringe about what will be in Star Trek 11 really, doesn't it?
Hell, as long as they have new writers, actors, special effects, ships and a different time that no-one has ever seen before, it will all work out fine.
What? That's what they're doing?

Apparently, the new feature's being written as a completely stand alone adventure. Hopefully, the fact that some of the characters can (and probably will) get killed will add an element of suspense. The biggest problem Trek's had lately is an obsession with maintaining the status quo.
Regarding this nemesis review, best quote?
"... dim red light makes everything more foreboding"

That has got to be the greatest review of Nemesis I have ever read... I laughed till I cried, then laughed some more!
Do you know what worries me? The fact that this script was probably read by no less than 50 people before filming. Did no one even think a single one of these questions? Creatively bankrupt is the truth.

See im just happy with the escapism afforded by the move.
One other thing i didn't get, in ds9 there were thousands of federation ships in a fleet, but even though there's the possibility of an all out romulan invasion there's only 8 coming to the aid of the enterprise. I was thinking more along the lines of 80, especially considering that there's always been a very large presence on the neutral zone.
Also picard must have known that he couldn't have destroyed the scimitar by ramming it and even if he could the enterprise would have gone with it. So why did he ram then try to self destruct. Why not just self destruct.
And why does troy always crash the ship when she's at the bloody helm, damn women drivers *cough*
On second thoughts the movies plot is ****

AMERICAAAAAAA.... F*CK YEAH!
Good movie

Good review, but that site just HATES Trek
Remember Slave-1, Fett's ship? Apparently, a battle between that piece of garbage and the Enterprise-D end with the Enterprise crew in escape pods after 7 seconds.
Here; warp is crap compared to the Empires hyperspace technology, phasers are as modern as a bow and arrow today, and Slave-crap-1 has a 2,000 times greater power output than a Galaxy class starship...
Crap site, but hillarious review

Yeah, the guy who runs that site is incredibly pro wars and anti trek. Personally, I've only ever watched the SW movies a couple of times but each to his own.
To be fair the review reads like someone who really likes trek, but gets frustrated by nemesis. Which to be fair is just about everyone here.

But you don't understand!! They are superlaser powered by an semi-plasmic ion-terrillium compound found on Gin-To'V class planets. THAT is the reason why there is a flickering on Vader's ship! NOT bad special effects!
A whole (and enormous) site devoted to saying EXACTLY WHY the Empire could beat the Federation

I didnt bother to look at anything else on that guys site but the Pictoral review, but I find it hard to believe that the Feds would have any problem by an empire that was finally defeated by a bunch of walking teddy bears.

Hey, guys!
Try this site for some Star Wars-bashing fodder. Think of it as a counter to what is on that pro-Wars site....
http://www.st-v-sw.net
I personally like SW, too, but the tech really does seem to be craptastic. Take a look at this guy's site, especially the 'rebuttal' stuff. This guy has quite a vendetta against the pro-Wars guy (and I gather the feeling's mutual), but his writing style is really quite entertaining.
Just thought I'd put that out there...

Definitely pro-Trek!
I like his evaluation of a Blaster:
"Impressive pyrotechnics...limited damage. I'd rather use bullets, thanks."

Ooh, i've just heard the best quote ever about Star Wars!
"TIE fighters are tin cans of death."
That is definitely not something that you normally think of, when you play any of the Rogue Squadron games...but considering you can usually take out a TIE in one hit...I think you get the idea...

my favorites:
"...so from the Empire's perspective, all ships are naturally cloaked..."
[after a lot of circling around the idea that Imperial sensors might not suck, but then the site-operator uses plenty of examples that prove that they really do.]
"News flash: The Cardassians lost."
[reply to some idiot who thought that the Maquis were some resistance force on worlds the Cardassians had conquered before forcing the Federation to sign a near-surrender treaty....Someone does't watch Star Trek.....]
These are funnier in their original context, of course....Just hunt around, you'll find them....
