Don't forget to download the BOTF2 database from the downloads section (If you haven't already) - that'll give you an idea of what the game is like. Don't forget to take a look at the screenies thread as well. There are screenshots of the game that Gavin has made. There's still no sign of the promised movie, though, before you ask. |

Sure as long as we get the game in the end thats all that matters..Hopefully it'll be worth the wait! |

Gavin had a tech problem whilst making the video. I think he's either going to just keep feeding us screenshots instead, or he simply hasn't found a way around the problem. Anyway, judging by the number of ships that are being posted, I imagine the game is getting close to completeion now. Remember what Gavin said in the interview, the game is 85-90% complete! That was a week or two ago now, so things are getting done. It won't be long to wait now, just have patience. |

The closer it gets, the harder the wait is. |

The interview of a few days ago mentioned that it was around 85% complete and would go to a public Beta... I assume that means it won't be the final version, although gavin maintains that the code will be so perfect that the only difference in the final one will be a few extra models |

I'm guessing you don't read the news page, do you? Well don't bother, Jig's link is old. Gavin's interview can be found here: http://www.trek-online.com/forums/?showtopic=615 The interview should answer some of your questions. When you've read it, have a look at some of their links and features. They've got info on quite a lot of stuff, and they update their news page every day. It's a bit like the STG site, really. |

A while ago, there was a problem with the fact that a lot of the stuff for the game got deleted. Jig and Gavin had to re-make a lot of stuff from scratch, so they stopped posting updates (Coz they would be 'downdates', if you know what I mean) The forums then started to go quiet, and a number of people haven't actually been heard from since this happened. Sadly, they probably thought the game had died like the various other BOTF2 projects in the past. This is why the TWAAO thread is so out of date as well, and why Iwulff has asked for people to post any new updates on the thread, so he can add them in himself. (Which is also why i'm rushing to get my own threads finalised) Be warned though, the TWAAO thread is not for ideas or opinions, just things that have been decided on. All other posts will then be deleted from it by Iwulff. ... This is why things went a bit dead/are outdated on the site. Gavin, Jigaly, Iwulff, and the others have worked hard though, and they are roughly back where they originally were. Things should start going more smoothly on the site before long, once the TWAAO thread is updated and so on. |

And creating regular backups, hopefully! That must have been incredibly frustrating. I guess we'd better get a move on with finaising stuff - race specific structures etc. |
