Ha he he he he!! You all are as nuts as I am!! lol Now I hope you all understand that to play a game, like what I have read thusfar, would require a 200 gig system (like what I'm on now) for just this game. ( I know this cause I had a friend at MIT run a simulation about just this type of game playing before I found this site ). You would not be able to get online with a game like that. Even though I'm a poor slob, I do have friends in high places. I have seen a prototype system that will hold and self maintain 800 gig upgrade able to 1200 gigs. But the system is HUGE!! by our current standards. Personally I would love a game that I could program as well as 3 or 4 other people program what they wanted, then when each of us was done. we hit "SET" and when the final person is done, the game auto starts and runs off our preset instructions. We as players just tweek our gameplan as it unfolds. Also on a seperate screen all 4 players can talk via an open chat (messenger) type box. The lower part of the screen holds command and control buttons that corrispond to the keys on a players keyboard. Now that would be FUN!!! |

Are you sure about that stuff? Alienware is selling computer with an 800gig hard drive. Ok, so it's very expensive as a computer, but the stats on it are incredible! Your post has left me with a question though...what happens if you have different modules to the person you try to conenct with? Won't the game crash? Gavin is the god of programming and all things electronic, so I imagine he's found a way though... |

Well, at least these modules must be syncronised though, just image someone tweaking his ships to be cheaper playing with someone with the original modules. Since this wouldn't fit there will surely be some mechanism to prevent that. |

Hmmm. Damn you! LMAO! Now I have to actually think! (Arg!! the pain in my head! lol ) Great questions though I must admit! Programer I am Not!!! lol I just think of weird and outlandish ways to have fun with the games. I never thought about upgrade mods. I agree that would really cause problems in just playing the game. Hmmm, I'm going to have to do some serious thinking though. Kudos to you all! |
