BTW, physicists have suspected a long time ago that rogue planets may exist, as the N-body problem is chaotic for N>2 and it is quite easy for one of the planets in the system (even in ours) to be kicked out.

Indeed, any body can go rogue: a rocky planet or gas giant in a star system, a star in a cluster, a galaxy in a galaxy cluster and so on. This is one of the few cases where size does NOT matter
