From what I've seen there's a fair few from the UK, myself included ^.^

Was the game more popular over here or is it just one of those random things?

Must be a random event. I'm U.S.

UK as well.

I think the game was released in the UK last, so as such we have the 'last' version of the game.

Our version is certainly more up to date than the Amrican version, because we don't need to update our version with BOTF Standard for modders whenever we add any mods to the game.

Perhaps this put a lot of people off the game in America? :?

or it could be that we value quality games more!! :)

Yes! Definitely!

We value those games that are worth something far more than evil Americans apparently do!

(Explains why Enterprise died really, when we seem to want more!)

Dabomb,

Moi? world Power? LOL Sorry Us Indians (if our government had there way would not even be alive now! ) thats how much of a world power we Indians are! lol

We just sit and watch and wait the the colonists wipe themselves out, then we just take over again! lol Kinda like great romulan patience, in time They just take over! lol.

On a brighter note. I'm playing a game right now all avd, no minors, i have the Ferengi all but wiped out then was attacked by the Klingons, took care of them is 102 turns, went back to finish the Ferengi and BLAM! They put a whoopin on me that would make Ceaser shudder!!

Cannot figure out how they managed to grow so many ships with only the home planet to build from. Nice thing is... I had 36 major battles in 126 turns. avg battle turns 7 - 8 turns per... what a blast!

Now the ferengi are out building me in ships by I would say 14 to 1. Or something like that. really amasing!

Post subject:  Re: uk members

Yeah....the Ferengi are evil. I try to wipe them out as a matter of principle

I was told that their near invincibility is due to a lack of thought on the original game designers' parts. They gave the Ferengi an economic advantage, but did'nt reduce the power of their individual ships! Add to that the AI likes to cheat, and you have a recipe for me wanting to wipe out the Ferengi at all costs.

At least they won't be a major power in BoTF II ..... :D

Post subject:  Re: uk members

Now the really bad part. My game I was telling about crashed on me. I shuld say BOTF crashed. had to strip it out and reload. And I was really haveing a good time with my last game too! Oh Well, now I'm playing a new game and have gone 154 turns with no Ferengi in sight. Putting a great whoopin on the klingons right now. Had 2 battles with the Feds but they ( per usual ) ran with thier tails between there legs then offered me a ton of cash to be friendly with them again. ( sounds like my own government LOL) Toss money at a problem and hope it goes away! lol
I always figured that was more of a ferengi trait. guess I figured that one wrong! lol

So is Anyone else still playing the old game, or and I all but alone out here in La La land, waiting with great patience for the Newer, more Outstanding BOTF2 !!!

The one thing i love about Leeds is the Royal Armoury, It bloody rocks, last time I went there I walked out juggling 4 replica swords.

I'll Bite,

Where is Leeds? I know very little about the British Iles and surrounding areas. Sounds good though.

It's up North. Cold and damp. :D Well, midlands really... Pretty much dead centre of the country.

Have admittedly heard good things about the armoury though.
