I was just curious as to what ppl here thought of the dominion with cloaking technology. Why i say dominion with cloaking tech is mainly because of the dominion soldiers have personal cloaking shields or something. I woundered if they ever tryed using that technology on a larger scale and use it on their ships. If they did and succeeded then why do we not see this in the show. Perhaps they failed at what the romulans achived. Maybe they simly thought there ships were tough enough to take on any cloaked ships that would surprise attack them. Perhaps with the founders help they would have the intel on any race that had cloak tech and had a founder infriltrate the govenements so that they knew of all cloaked fleets locations and activites hence they knew of the cloaked cardasian/romulan fleet going to bomb their homeworld. Just woundered what you think. Do they have cloak ability on ships or dont they and why? |

They probably think there hard enough already so they think they dont need it perhaps. |

theres no indication of how the soldiers cloak works, they dont tap a panel on their arm or anything while they cloak. That could the ability is biological (like that bit flying thingy on stargate) and the founders put this useful biological attribute into these dinosauric supertroops. Theres also no indication that the device (if it is a device) is actually a cloak in the sense that it blocks sensor readings, noise etc, true the jem'hadar from what we have seen need to decloak to fire however it could be the case that the technology is as advanced as the stealth on bonds car. |

mayb they know enough about cloaks to know they can be scaned through, also the dominion like to show force, they like to show their enemies just how powerful they are |
