I fits perfectly for the Cardies. It reminded me a little to Away Team at some points.
It's just a great piece of work. Congratz!

It is NOT the music from The Fallen or ST Away Team. A professional componist wrote and composed the music himself for BotF2. It is unique music in its own.
Perhaps it does resemble the fallen since it also is contains lots of cardassian music.

Is this part of the music intented to be in battle scenes? In my opinion it's to "harsh" to be useable for the galactic map.
Don't get me wrong: It's absolutely awesome!

are you saying this is not jon`s own work? because if you are wrong then you have just accused him of plagerisim, i have never played the fallen so i don`t know, perhaps jon shall come in and tell you himself, after all he told me he did it all himself.

Music in a game like this helps a lot. This is quality - very atmospheric. I think my anticipation for the game has now reached critical levels. 8O

Now ive listened to it alot it does have some sort of relation to The Fallen's music. Perhaps some of his work was inspired from the games music?
Mainly the part from 0.14 - 0.33 time frame.
edit-
Just installed ds9 fallen game and it does have the same sorta feeling especially the tone as the ds9 fallen intro and the general ingame music. But dont think its exactly the same as the music the guy did for botf2 has done. So i dunno. Still like it tho alot.

Consider me teased. Sh*t that's good. Quite frankly I'm astonished at all of the good work people have put into the game. Jig, Turfrey, Iwulf, jon, et al should all give themselves a pat on the back.
If we ever meet up, I'll be very glad to by you all a beer, or seven.

Afraid to say it is in fact a music piece directly from The Fallen game, i just went in my TF directory and into mp3 directory of game music and i was listening to cardy music and then found it was identical. The mp3 from The Fallen filename is "card_actn_track.mp3" So whoever said he made it is lying.
Still good music tho from the The Fallen. Just not original like was said.

Can some other people confirm this? As if this is true, we are not only accusing someone of commiting plagerisim, but he *is* doing so.
I have the game myself, but it's at my parrents' house. I will install it first thing next friday to find out. But still, some more confirmations might be helpfull.
I still do think the music is great and fitting as Cardassian combat music. But one shouldn't say it's his own making if it isn't.

speaking of music, im assuming that the rest of the music isnt ready??
i had a thought about the possibility of using the old klingon battle music from star trek III, it was full of pep and a real pleasure to listen too, im sure it would be fine as long as we give credit to the composer.... and paramount? or even a remix/ remake of it?
tries to find a sample.....
nope go watch the movie again and see

i will speak to jon about this, it may be my mistake, i am sure he said he did all the music but he may have meant he just remixed a load from other games. if this is the case then point your wrath at me and not him.

Ok, let me see if I can clear things up.
I never said I made all the music myself. If that was how it was interpreted, then I appologize. Ive written some of the tracks, but many of them come from various music directories. It was not my intention to "fool" the game developers, and if they should want some other music to the game instead of the one ive sent to them, then of course I understand.
One of the tracks I sent containing the federation tracks was infact from the "Insurrection" movie. I Made this clear as I sent the music, cause it was a track that I felt would fit the federation during ingame play.
Again, Im sorry if anyone has felt betrayed or so. It took me some time to respond, due to having extremily much to do these days.
If Gavin and Jigalypuff should choose other tunes for the game, please let me know.
Regards/Jon
