The Valdore is gonna be the Romulans uber ship, it will be classed as the Warbird 2. You're not the only one that is happy about that! ![]() ![]() |

I still find it very amusing how everyone dubbed this ship class as the 'valdore'. The Valdore just happened to be the name of the ship Commander Donatra commanded. It says nowhere that the class is named that way. ![]() |

But without a canon name, what would you propose to call it? Everyone just accepts it as the Valdore class anyway. If I called it the 'FireBat' class or something, people wouldn't have a clue what I meant! ![]() |

Agreed, at least when you say Valdore, people know which class you mean. Nobody's actually proposing the Valdore was the prototype ship. |

Hi guys. Actually, according to a number of sites including http://www.ditl.org, http://www.memory-alpha.org, http://www.decipher.com, http://www.stiff.net, and http://www.trekwarfare.org define the class name as Norexan. I would more take the name from Decipher because they own the rights to the official ST CCG and any infomation that is placed on those cards has to be given a thumbs up by Paramount. BTW Jig, beautiful models. |

I already made an argument for the Norexian about 6 weeks ago Phased and I was shot down. I'm afraid that Valdore class will be in...nothing a simple name change in a mod can't fix though ![]() |

Valdore is the in movie name that many people use as the class name. However, Norexian is the class name that was released in "Star Trek the Magazine" as well as the cards. The sites that Phased listed use those as the basis for having Norexian as the class name. EDIT: Sorry, it is spelled "Norexan" not "Norexian". My bad. |

It depends on whether all the ships we have, we use the class name. If so we must use Norexan as it seems to fit if not Valdore. I think this topic is discussed further in the Valdore or Norexan thread |

Norexan is apparently the right spelling Jig. I had also only heard it called as a Valdore Type Warbird untill Decipher released it in ST CCG 2nd Edition as the Norexan. I then started looking around and found that most places that didn't have the class listed as Norexan, have the class listed as unknown or as "Valdore-Type Warbird". I have noted that ditl.org lists the origin of the class name as this: Quote: The class name Norexan is not canonical, but has become widely accepted amongst fans after being listed in non-canon sources. They don't list the sources any place though. Here's the link to the page though: http://www.ditl.org/hedship.php?romnorexan |
