As im sure alot of people do, i check these forums on a daily basis, checking for updates, i click through all the threads searching for the information alot of us are looking for.

I like many other understood the delay on the demo and the game after Gavin's loss. I also condem the people who moaned after we were told. It was the wrong thing to do and very tastless.

Weeks have passed now tho, and we have had no update, not even a "we're still not working on it". We are being kept in the dark about exactly what is going on.

I think many, as i would myself, would not as mind as much if we were getting some screen shots, just something to keep the dream alive in our minds.

As it is tho, we have had very little, there is a growing and demanding community being built up around this game, alot of people eager to get some new info on release dates, updates, screenshots etc etc. It doesnt take long time to create a thread or reply to this thread for example, it would make alot of people happy if that was done. We all understand the preasure and real life reasons why there are delays etc, but with at least a demo which was days from release, surely not much had to be done?

Some updates, anything would make a big impact for alot of people.

no offance Carott but there are two reasons why everything you just said is wrong lol:

i have lost a loved one and i dont just go away in a couple of weeks

And you have to rember there doing this out of there own free time! so if they said that they stoped makeing it that would be a shame but its up to them! dont have to daily update everyone they have lives! it will be out when its out and thats it!

It's hardly been weeks since the demo was due. I hope the next time you have someone close to you die, you're given some breathing room.

I'd like to echo your own statement. Give it time, go to general chat, or other forums, or even.... outside. The developers aren't stupid, they know people are anxious for the game to be released.

Every time you post its something like this and its starting to annoy me. THE GAME WILL BE OUT WHEN ITS DONE. The last thing we need is another thread like this...

Sorry for the rant but this guy is a muppet. This game is fan based, it is made by people like you and me, you cant and have no right to keep demanding release dates and screenshots, its there work in there free time so its up to them how much we are told and how much they want to work on the game. Have you ever thought that maybe gav and jig are busy at times? they proberly both have familys and work and have everyday life problems like all people have. Give it a rest please....

Im the muppet? i hate it how if anyone asks question you get flamed! Its a joke, its like the soviet union, where if you question anything the party faithful jump on you and demonise you! its a joke.

All you seem to do is kiss ass on this. I dont expect the game to be done tomorrow, if you read what i said you'll see that. I just wanted an update, which i got, and that cool. Im not pushin for the game to get done quicker or saying anyone should be doing the game when they have grief after the loss of a loved one, i was just askin for an update, which we got. You guys need to take your heads out of the developers asses! i didnt see them flaming me, i just got a decent reply, which was all i and alot of people wanted.

I'll stop asking questions and raising small criticisms in the future if all i get is a flaming. Its really pathetic to be honest, some people will do anything to start a fight on a thread.

Nobody intended to start a fight. It's just after the masses of idiots starting threads like this one and being told repeatedly what the deal is, it's was a pretty bad time to start a thread of this nature. My post was written before Gav's reply, so it's fairly moot now.

It's now been stated enough times that the game will be out when it's out, I thing we can all take that and move on.

I agree with Carott persoanlly. If its being delayed or scraped thats up to the creators. Lack of information is the annoying thing for the people who read the forums though.

Just say it will be 6 months if you dont have time to finish it. Also it has been weeks since the original release date.

As for saying its their own free time. Thats true but then dont make a promise to release it then.

Also the flaming everytime someone says anything about the delay is just kind of irratating. Were all sorry for Gavin's loss we dont need the self righteous majority condeming people for being insensitive just for asking for information.....

I have been on these forums how long? well i can tell you not long at all and the only threads you have made sincedr i started here are exactly the same as this one and there are at least 3 now. It annoys me that people cant be patient and feel the need to spam the forums with more and more of the same crap, if you want to post it do it in the same thread, yes one of the others, you carott, have already made rather than create another thread which i have wasted my time reading.

There was one statement made that a demo may have been brought out, hardly a promise. Things go wrong and things get delayed deal with it. I cant believe your being so selfish this game is being made by people for you in there own time. Carrot's posts wouldn't have been offensive to anyone had the circumstances been different. My emotions work perfectly, hence my ability to be patient during difficult times, and my having built up enough of a life that it really doesn't affect me when the game is released.

Ok, lets's all shake hands and move on. There are many here who are particularly defensive of Gav and the team as we've come to respect what they're doing for us, most importantly we know what the demands are and appreciate the workload. What get's my back up are people saying stuff like, "they've not even bothered responding" etc, as this is a complaint you'd make about an employee, or someone working on your behalf and being rewarded for it. Given that the team will get nothing more out of this than you will, I personally find it disrespectful. That in itself is fine, but coupled with a tragic personal loss, it comes across slightly selfish.

I can see your point of view, and regardless of anything else we now have our update. The update being it'll be ready when it's ready. We should all step back and give the guys some room, instead of endlessley flogging a dead horse.

If you liked the original and that is why your here stay and post to help the game along rather than post to demand a screeny or some info. Join in the disscusions and help put ideas accross in the mods for the game forum.

Sideeffect has put what i said perhaps a little better, that is all i care about, just gettin some info, im not pushing for the release, just some answers, which i kinda got.

Yes sorry for going overboard but my opinion remains the same, maybe i could have worded it better but i think a little of the anger im suffering from my neck (was in a car crash a few days ago) was put into my opinion. Sorry for that.

ok hopefully this is the end of the flaming, i was going to say lock this topic but now i have finshed the hole thing i wont, but i would like to see screens as well i like putting them on my destop, so this forum should only be used for asking something or updates and no flaming cause it makes me mad!

Ye i agree, and np jade your entitled to your opinion, these boards can be used for debate after all. I think theres something we can all agree on is wanting more info and screens, but im sure the creators no that already, so hopefully some will pop up soon

To those that are woundering about updates, well you see there's this thing called jobs and life things get in the way of our fun. The game is been made for fun you see and gets worked on when any of the people involved with the development of the game have free time to do work on it you see. Also if you look there are these things called sticky topics and you see, and here's the clever part, they are about updates. Now if you want to see any updates i would advise you look there which they have been getting updates as me and jig are trying to show you ships we are either working on or are done.

Now were sorry if this isn't enough but most members think it is. Yes there will be a demo out but only when theres time to work on it. And as Gavin has clearly said he is swamped at work at the past week and has been busy with other things as well.

So I hope this post of mine tells you that there are updates coming out now and again through the weeks and I heavily advise ppl to read topics first as alot of topics and posts about things like updates have been answered before on numourous occasions.

Do you know off the top of your head what the demo consists of? It's not that big a deal just wondering how much of a game it'll be possible to have on it.

not off the top of my head no, i usually just keep my hair there.
but all the bits i tested worked, there were a few probs with some of the multiplayer components so i dunno how far along they are.

Thank god for you Jiggy because I was just about to post in regards to recent events and the flaming that goes on around here.

At the end of the day we are ALL FANS and want this game to become a reality.
