Myself, I wouldn’t play as some of the more favored Minor races… As I think it would be more exciting to play say as the Viidians with their enormous ships and advanced medical technology. Plus I just like more peaceful civilizations. However, I find that BOTF 2 will have a lot to offer as far as being able to just say hell with it I’ll play as some almost “unheardâ€￾ of race today just to change it up a bit!

However, i still think it would be fun just to try out some of the not so well known minors, see what they got!

Also it would be interesting how you could influence other minor races and prehaps even declare war on a major race with 2 or 3 other minor race powers in a war pack! It would be interesting to see mixed fleets of completily different Races, class ships, weapons ect.; assult, say the Dominion.

Actually come to think of it... i believe the key to survival as a minor race will be your ability to create alliances and friends! Though the same is true for major races, but i believe even more so for minors!

Y'all are right! I would absolutely enjoy playing - say as the Xindi... Might turn out to be a little schizophrenic, though, playing as five races at the same time.
But I agree that it would look absolutely cool to have a fleet of different minor race ships taking on a Galaxy class or Keldon or the like...

For me the best thing about playing as a minor race, would be to go on for several 100 turns then finally meet up with the Major Races of the game and see how the AI played them through, Federation a huge and powerful empire, or dieing to the even bigger Kilngon and Romulan alliance?, who knows and every time you play it will hopefully always be differant.

Would be interesting especially if their response is based on the way you act or just random

It would be great to have a race that eats tribbles And I agree with Teleon.........It would be great to have a fleet of different minor races.....Destroying earth With the Xindi, as vulcan declaring war against the Andorians.. .........And having a fleet mixt with vulcan ships, trill ships ,breen ships and Andorian ships ......... Ill rule the galaxy!!

That's why many of these canon possibilities are being (possibly) implemented to the game as scenarios

Species 8472 will be an 'expandable random event', just like the Borg.

They will randomly appear during a game, and will attack everything in sight.

They will be able to conquer systems, and build an empire from there on.

They won't be playable, but that doesn't mean you won't be able to mod them in yourself though.

Great now we have the Borg and species 8472 to worry about! I guess peace insn't an option in this galaxy now is it! *sigh's* Well... at least the military will get a workout
