There was a very brief period where Amazon and Play.com were in a bizzare price war over TNG DVDs so I got most of them for £25.00 each last christmas. You are right about Ebay - total waste of time, always end up more expensive.

Paramount is really gouging people with those DVDs. I'd buy every season of every series if they charged half of what they're charging now. Until then, there's always Netflix .

I have all of DS9 on DVD, and I love it to death. The way the sit on the shelf is just cool. But I must say it was very expensive to get. It is the number one reason why I haven't done the same with TOS. TNG, VOY, or ENT. I do think that Paramount is gouging the consumer with those prices. I paid no less than $89 for one season, I have paid as much as $129. I can buy Four Seasons of the West Wing, with all the commentaries, extras, nifty boxes for the same $129.

If they came down to $50, I would snatch up TNG, TOS, and ENT. Who knows, maybe I would grab VOY as well. I loved some of the episdoes, but dislike a majority of the others. I would love some commentaries on these things though. I wouldn't mind buying a disc with all of the cast interviews uncut. I would love to see what they didn't show in the extras.

The DVDs for DS9 are worth it. For myself, the other sets I will get as money allows me.

If i had the money, i would get all the series on dvd, for now ill enjoy having it all on vhs.
I was lucky enough to tape darn near every episode when it would air, lost a few tapes over the years, but ild say i have about 90-95% of all the episodes on tape. Needless to say, yes i have boxes and boxes of tapes all over the house.

Original all three sets
TNG all 7 sets
DS9 all 7 sets
ENT 3 sets waiting for november for 4th.

Might have cost me a little cash, but will offer myself and my children years of entertainment.

Plus i get to watch the episodes i like best over and over, so its worth it to me no matter the cost.

I bought mine all seperate, but the special sets are about the same price.
