Hi Darklight, welcome to the forums.
The answer to that question is quite simple I am afraid... What you have is all there is at the moment. There are some more advanced versions of the database (should ask Matress of Evil who will show up inevitably) but they haven't been posted.
Don't know why it was never finished, though..

Because it isn't finished yet. I am now busy in creating a webshop and also have other things to do.

Oh ok, thanks for the welcome. Well I'd love to know how the progress is on the database, oh and how do you install it into the game?

I'm not sure, gavin can easily load it inside the program shell, so it should be able to load it inside the game if gavin wants this to happen. The database has progressed with updated graphic files, lower resolution, stuff like that and ofcourse more information. I haven't even got time to fully implement Jig's awesome 3d model (gif animated), into the the database with a nice ship model layout next to it.

Thanks to Matress, i've been able to get a copy of the newest version - not on the d/l page btw. There's not a massive difference but it shows a lot of work and effrot is being put into it. If you want a copy i'll send you one or contact M_O_E, who i'm sure would be happy to help

What iwulff probly said doesnt apply to this site, but... a shop for this site would be awesome. Like where you can buy shirts and stuff. I would buy if i liked the game. Just a suggestion.

somehow i don't think that would work... but we can easily use a free cms webshop thingy, they are out there, somewhere. Finishing this webshop will take at least another 6 weeks. I'm creating it together with someone else, it's kinda a school project, but the webshop will be sold to the company where i'm working, currenly. So i don't receive any money for the work that i've done. Anyway i do now have a good knowledge of php, mysql, and ofcourse, xmtl. Can already work with flash, and will use css for the webshop (gotta learn that a bit).

Darklight and trekkie2114, i've sent the Database to you guys.
It ISN'T the version Iwulff is currently working on - he's keeping that one tightly under wraps for now, so i'm sure it'll be a pleasant surprise to us all once it's complete.
It's zipped, and weighs in at 2.1meg. Enjoy!

You noticed them then, trekkie2114!
I've emailed the Database to you, aboycalledsue.
Let me know if you have any problems, if hotmail filters my email, or if you haven't got winzip.

Just scrap winzip and get WinRAR. Winzip only compresses and decompresses .zip's whereas WinRAR does .rar's aswell

Not to mention compresses much, much better. and its free, since the trial ends after so many days but all it does is pop up a message when you actually open it, and then lets you proceed.
only thing better in overall compression is 7zip, but man, its a pain at times.. I have it for compressing 1gb+ files, but WinRAR for everything else!
maybe Ringold @ Gmail . com can get some database love too? Not sure what I'll be looking at, but hey, anything to salivatate over!

iwulff, I wish you all the best and good luck for the database development, I hope you are able to fix all the bugs and create something that will be very awesome for BOTF, maybe it will make people want to buy the game to play your database. I am a very patient person and I will wait for the completed and final version to be released, plus don't worry about me asking when that will be as I know it will be a long time. Resulting in the final version being a hell of mod and worth the wait! Oh and have you contacted the game creators for any information they could give you of the games programming?

Database love has been sent your way, CaptRingold.
...
Darklight, BOTF2 isn't a mod, the game is a complete rewrite - Gavin is programming the game from scratch.
That's why it is taking a long time to program, but it'll be worth the wait.

CaptRingold, sorry about this but I can't send you the Database - it's Gmails fault, i've tried sending the Database to someone with a Gmail account before, but Gmail simply won't accept the attachment.
Have you got an alternate email account for me to send it to?
I suppose this applies to everyone really - if you want a copy of the Database from me, use a non-Gmail account if you can.
I have problems with hotmail as well, but that's one of the reasons why I zip the program. Hotmail doesn't filter zipped programs.

Done.
...
Just reading back, I noticed your post about Winrar, TrekBoy. I agree, Winrar is generally a better program, but I personally prefer the layout of Winzip.
I get a bit confused when I try to use Wirar. I guess i've been using Winzip for too long...

Done again.
...
This thread is turning into a "what I can do for people" thread or something - it might be best if people PM'd me if they want the Database, instead of posting. You can also keep your emails secret from the masses if you're worried about that sort of thing then.
