My desktop i built from scratch about 2 year ago p4 2.4 gig 1 gig 2X512 ram nvidia geforce 256 meg 60 gig hard drive A-Bit motherboard Audigi 5.1 with the creative 5.1 surround sound amped speaker system 19 inch tft monitor (flamin huge n heavy) roughly 1 kilo of dust since i havent used it in about ooooooooo 9-10 months+ cup rings since i tend to use it as a table. My laptop is foofoo, (Dell Inspiron 6000) Centrino 1.7 gig 500 meg ram 256 meg intel "mouse in a wheel" graphic's 40 gig hard drive Wireless firewire and media card enabled personalised case with a very distinctive arty look (scratched across lid with the words "yu ar a fik nob" signed A, Chav. its roughly half the power of my old machine but i love it and squeeze it and call it george, plus its handy wireless connection means i can obliterate the cadassians while having a sh .. a cr err a cup of tea. |

i also built mine from scratch.... Just some advice: i have a small job of fixing computers. 8/10 computers that have hardware problems are dells. seriously... dells, i highly suggest against them. another story about dells: Once, i had a case where a couple comptuer "experts" couldnt fix a computer. My friend was going to trash it. it was a dell, and i decided, hey its a P4, i'll at least scrap it, got it for free. Took me 7 hours to fix, had tons of problems, ill post them if someone wants to know. but now its running as my server |
