hopefully not - im not a microsoft fanboy, I use Linux (Redhat 9) for my server, and thus as being a Linux Fanboy, i dont like Windows. But, however i believe that the PS3 is a piece of junk - and the games are crap (other than Squares). Now - delete this thread if you want - i dont want a major argument, but its probally going to happen anyway.

Technical specs arent everything. But if you want to do it that way, then ok - The Xbox has something like 5x more memory bandwidth than the PS3. So that means that the Xbox can send information 5x faster from the harddrive to the video card. (correct me if im wrong, thats what i was told). And thats a LOT more importand than a couple mhz in the processor.

microsoft has the best programmers in the world. Thus, logically, they can make the best software for a gaming console. Software is more important than hardware. If you have cappy software but great hardware, its absolutely terrible. But if your behind a bit in hardware, but have excellent software, you succeed in having better video, gameplay, multiplayer online, ect.

Square Enix's contract with sony ended in early 2005, so all the new Final Fantasys are coming out on Xbox.

my 360 has had no problems whatsoever, and ive had it running for the last 48 hours. My other 8 friends with them also have had no problems, and are having a blast. Everyplace i look say that as long as you dont let them overheat, your fine. That means that you dont let them sit in the sun (hoiztontally) ontop and beneth your sattilite box or dvd player. Give it room to breath, and your fine.

have fun with your PS3 and how many good games...? not many... just grand turismo 5 and mabye a couple others.

Personally i'm with the XBOX 360 on the sole fact that the XBOX was generally way better than the PS2 therefore i feel the XBOX will be the better console for me - when i buy it in a few months

Though both consoles are very good and which ever you choose you won't regret it

i think sony will go down with a bang. They had the last couple of months problems with drm. Blue-ray is getting lesser people behind it, due to microsoft supporting hd-dvd and hp stepping back. I truly want HVD (much better)!!! And i think that the PS3 will get a big succes in Japan but nowhere else. Now revolution will sell really good, because it's cheap and revolutionair. Don't know who will end on spot 1, 2 or 3, though.

The console market is a bigger market then the PC game market, as i'm aware of. Sure graphics might look better, although i doubt you would notice the difference with xbox360. I don't presume you have a HD-LCD /HD-Plasma screen for your PC? I will just say that PC games won't own Consoles and Consoles won't own PC games. They are two different markets.

PS3 will probally be the most powerful console, let's just hope that developers will learn to handle the difficulties surrounding the PS3 cores. btw, i actually hate the ps3...

tons of 3rd party game developers (square enix for example) have dumped PS3 after comparing the 360 and the PS3. I think Sony is probally panicing right now, cause the only good PS/PS2 games were 3rd party to begin with (in my opinion)

Hey, no need to apologize, im not out to bite off someones head. Even if its hard to tell in online communication, most of my arguments (including this one) are playful in nature. If I was really pissed in my arguments, you guys could probably figure it out.

Its true, Xbox has some great games that arent available anywhere else, and their Live was is much better than Ps2 online (but personally, playing online is not a big deal to me, cause neither xbox or ps has done it thatwell, or with that many good games). Those are the only reasons I can see that Xbox was better.

But the numbers dont lie, and many people in the US disagreed. In the states, Sony has sold 34 million ps2. Microsoft only sold rougly 14 million xboxs. I think I know who won this generation of the console war.
