Post subject:  Hi! new here, a few questions!

Hi all my name is Max,
I recently recieved Botf from a friend telling me it was almost a complete copy of Master Of Orion II, having played the hell out of MOOII I was really excited to hear about this game! (and quite surprised I hadn't dug it up myself, as Microprose were my favorite developers!)
So I have just gone about installing the game but it doesn't seem to work! I have succesfully installed the game but when I activate the .exe it doesn't run!
Now I figure this is an XP problem due to the fact the game is quite old!

So the question is!!! is this an XP problem if it is can someone help me fix it, if it isn't where do I go from here?

Also Is this game Botf II going to be a mod from the original or a brand new game?

Yours Truly,
Maximus

Go here instead as this is a botf 2 site.

http://www.armadafleetcommand.com/botf/

But to answer your question right click on the .exe and choose properties then compatability tab then try win nt or win 2000. one of them should allow the game to run. Videos wont work tho i think.

BOTF2 is going to be a full new game on its own.
