Hi everyone, I've been gone a very long time so I thought I'd pop in and say hello.

With no new Trek on TV for what seems like ages, as well as a big relocation on the horizon and starting a family, I'll admit I've pretty much forgotten about the project. Out of sheer curiosity I logged on today as I was skiving at work, and it's great to see work being done on the game and lots of new stuff to look at.

Be in no doubt that when the time finally comes, I will be unleashing armadas of Defiant's on the galaxy, I'm sure I'll get some tough opposition!

Ps- Good to see iwulff, matress, and of course jig still visiting regularly, as well as all the other old school debators of how much shielding a Galaxy class should have and all that other fun stuff. My time's pretty limited right now, but if anyone can recommend I look at anything that's particularly cool that's cropped up over the last few months I'll be happy to post a bit of feedback.

I must admit, even I was beginning to think that your third spiritual slaughtering of Jem'hadar had gone wrong or summat...

As you noticed, I have been rather busy on the site since the last time you were online. My post count is uhh...a bit higher...

Most of the old people are still here, although CVN is long gone. OmniQ and Rigel both still visit, although they are much less active participants in the forums than they used to be. Winterhawk hasn't been online since he had a minor heart attack a few months ago, and I haven't seen Dafedz or STHedgehog here in a good long while either.

Obviously the forums have grown though; there are a good deal more people here since you last visited. If you haven't met them yet, Captain_Billy_Bacon and Trekboychris are a good laugh, and Skeeter, Silvercliff, General_Nemitor, Zahadoom, and Ashur are now helping with the game.

A lot has happened in your absence. The game's release has been delayed considerably due to the death of one of Gavins' friends' relatives, Gavin moving house, and the decision to make the game a multi-platform release. Jigalypuff also quit the dev team, although lately he has been thinking about rejoining.

And as you said, there's stuff available to download now - you're lucky, in fact, because the GUI was only made available to download a week or three ago, and it's already been updated.
