I moved your topic since the botf2 combat demo is different from the game Birth of the Empires, it's more or less the 3D engine used later-on but also a standalone game for itself.

unzip it under c:\demo\ . that should work.

Currently it runs in XP but not Vista.

I have Vista. Can I still get it to run on Vista?

We know it will have to run in Vista before it is built into the larger game. For now it only runs in XP.
