great work jig. I have a question about the ships. while in combat will the hulls show battle damage or will we just have a life meter for them?

Jig, I honestly liked your original Galor textures a lot better. You've crafted a beautiful model, and I'd hate to think any of the fine detail would be lost with the darker texture. Nevertheless, keep up the stellar work !

I'm glad someone notices the tiny things around here...
...
What do you mean by a particle system, Jig? I thought battle-damage could only be shown by changing the textures?
So more textures = more damage = more realism?

Salve,
Oh my god - Those ships ... [drivel] ... it not only fills the heart of any Cardassian with pride but also it inspires by their sheer beauty!
It will not be duty to the union but a tribute to beauty to lead those ships into combat.
@TrekBoyChris - You believe your ships superior to ours - we shall see!
The Hideki and the Galor are fabulous! Concerning the "Damar", well it somehow seems out of proportions - this might be due to my bias towards attack cruisers and not the model itself.
I raise a glass of canar to you jigalypuff!

My fault
It should read
Kanar and not Canar. It is the standard Cardassian alcoholic beverage.
I am not quite sure what it tastes like, unfortunately they did not serve it in Quarks bar in the Las Vegas Hilton. I had to drown my sorrow in a "Borg sphere" instead ... rather efficient drink not quite the effect of a pan galactic gurgle blaster but it is quite enjoyable!

My god Jig...4000 polies?
...I thought the limit was 1500?
Well, all I can say, is that it was worth it. You have a beautiful ship there.

All jig has to do really is take a few renders of the ship and use them for textures when hes done all he wants to and then remove the beveled details like windows and panels and use renders instead as it will have same look but alot less polys.
If he wants to go that route.
Oh and no iv'e never been to the star trek experiance show thing, would love to but no money and its all the way in the usa.

this is what the ship will look like in game, it will be slightly lighter than this render though.
the keldon will be the same as all it has is a few bits added.

What about renaming one of the Cardie shipd the Jigal-class - does not sound bad and it be a tribute to its creator ...

Wow Jig, now the Cardies can see out of their ship!
Beautiful work, as always...just one tiny nit-pick that doesn't have to be sorted out if you can't be bothered...isn't the Disruptor housing (The window thing at the front of the ship) suppossed to be red?

*Edit - it doesn't matter! They have been both colours apparently! Sorry about that.

at 22000 polys it may be a bit much for any game engine plus i intend t oadd more detail to the hull and bridge so it`s more tham likely exceed 30000 polys when finished.

30000 polys is quite large, but it is definitly worth that, shame it exedes the limit 15000 was it not?
apart from that a brilliant ship
