The sort of thing he means, would be like this: -
Federation
Stardate 75559.1
A Dominion taskforce penetrated deep into our territory. Their spies have been busy, for they knew that our fleets were away on a training exercise. Luckily, a cloaked Romulan scout detected the taskforces' movements, and was able to raise the alarm. The remaining Klingon forces took heavy damage in the ensuing battle, but they finally managed to repel the invaders.
Klingons
The Day of Kahless, Stardate 75559.1
What a glorius day! Dominion P'tak invaded Federation territory as far as the border worlds, but through the might of our navy, we repelled the invaders! Let the survivors crawl back on their stomachs! Songs will be sung of this day!
Romulans
Stardate 75559.1
The Dominion attempted a stealthy attack on outlying Federation worlds...a commendable plan...but obvious. Through the foresight of her Centurions, our cloaked vessel, the RNS Telok, which has been following the force for some time, was able relay a warning at once of the fleets' movement. The Federation were lucky to have us on their side...as were the Klingons...
Dominion
Our troops have made a tactical withdrawl from Federation space. We scored much damage against the Klingon fleet, but they somehow knew of our plan. A cloaked vesel was believed to have been in the vicinity of our fleets...perhaps we should have offered the Romulans more of an incentive to join us. No matter, they will be over-confident when the battle lines are drawn!
Cardassians
Stardate 75559.1
We have recieved news from our allies the Dominion, that they have suffered a tactical withdrawl from Federation space. They assure us it was the plan all along, and that the Klingons have suffered heavy casualties, but my men grow weary of the continuous orders of retreat. I think a little Bajoran entertainment is in order...
...
This is the sort of thing that iwulff means, I believe. Of course it won't be quite so in-depth, and will be about 'actual' events, unlike this attack I have just created. (And the Stardate is made up as well, in case you were wondering)
Chances are, it will be more simply Sept 2313, First Contact, blah blah blah...
That sort of thing. My version sounds good though, doesn't it?
Anyway, I hope you guys still feel up to the challenge?

I wont stop anybody if they feel like doing this, but like I told iwulff, I'm up for writing the canon history of the Federation, I just dont want to do it until I finish with my exams in the next 2 or so weeks. I could also do Klingons, if no one else wants to.

Err...this is what is going to be in BOTF2!
Iwulff is planning on putting a history section into his Database, so that's where all this is going.
The Dominion will be one of the five major Empires in the game (Replacing the pathetic Ferengi, since people were rather unanimous in saying they shouldn't have been in BOTF)
If you wanted to have the Dominion in BOTF, there are mods out there (Obviously, in those mods the Dominion again takes the place of the Ferengi) - they aren't perfect, but they practically wipe out the existance of the Ferengi in the game. (Unless they are still in as a minor race, but I doubt it)
Have a look in the downloads section of the Armadafleetcommand.com page - they have several Dominion mods, but there are also updates to them as well, so make sure you install the right ones. (Make a backup of stbof.res before installing them, just in case)

First of all Winterhawk: No, the dominion is not in the BOG (Botf original game - I like this expression since it'S phonetic comparable to "bug" ),but has been some kind of modded in by some people pissed off by the ferengi.
All the sources we have to can create Star Trek's _canon_ history are the Series ans Movies, since these are all sources which are considered as "canon". AFAIR, not even the technical manuals are canon for some literally freddom-reasons.
Thus, all we say about this true history *is* from what we saw, and I believe most of us have seen more than there has been broadcastet
