The First Romulan-Federation war had nothing to do with that. As you all probably knew we where defending from the Orion Pirates at the moment the first Federation ship entered Romulus using the same words the Orions did to persuade us. Words of peace and friendship and the like. HAH! As you can well understand after years of terror, we didn't quite believe you and destroyed the unfortunate vessel and those that followed.

Yes, but unless you have forgetten your recent history lessons (Enterprise), before any Earth vessel got remotely close to Romulus, you decietful romulans attempted to play the then existing powers (earth, Tellar, Andoria, vulcan, and Rigel [not to be confused with me  ])off eachother by using a 'Holo' ship, that would disguise itself as one of the other races ships (ie. Tellerite), and while in this disguise would attack another races ship ( ie. Andorian). It seems to me, decietfulness seems to be a main tenet of the romulan personality.

If thats the case, Romulan intel is much worse than i ever thought.

GO RIGEL! :D
I didn't see a lot of Enterprise so I need some coverage in this area of Trek history

I knew it was the devious Romulans fault, so thanks for setting the record straight

Hmmz, I am still busy with season 3, so I am not there yet.

But anyway, I am *sure* they had a very good reason for doing so. As you all know, we Romluans simply NEVER attack unprovoked. :)

The problem, from the Roms point of view, was that the various differnt powers I listed above were becoming more friendly with eachother, which was not a good thing for the roms. After all it would be much easier to conquer these various peoples if they had already been at war, rather than all friends with eachother. A good idea, but poor execution, since it only made these races draw closer together once they realized they shared a common enemy.

That was a good arc, the Vulcans finally realize humanity arent a bunch of kids that need their hands held throughout the galaxy. They finally start cutting us some slack. The storyline I mentioned above happens not too long after this.

I've said it b4, and I'll say it again. The people who say Enterprise sucked are the same ones who watched 5-6 episodes, and never went back. Yes, the first two seasons were pretty slow at times, but season 3, and whats left of season 4 have all been very good.

Yes, yes spit over Federation and other races protocols...

Speaking of protocols, what exactly does Romulans protocol say about bringing BOMBS INTO THE SENATE?!

Or did you forget the Nemesis incident...
Good old Romulan security, always count on them to srew up the day... And loose a Senator or two.

Did you happen to see DS9: Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges?
