You mean like have different pics, but you only see one of the at a time? So you see their main pic, but once they have changed govt/become a member of a race, the pic would change?
On the surface, that would work and would run really well. However, with some races (The Sheliak spring to mind) there are very, very few pics of the race.
Even if people were to get screen captures, there wouldn't be enough pics for some of these races.
The alternative would be for someone to 'make' more pics, but I think that would be a little too much work, and it would make the game less canon. Remember, we want to make the game as canon as possible. (Without affecting gameplay too much)
I'd go for it if it is possible, but perhaps it should be somewhat limited? So only the 'major minors' would get this treatment (Like the Vulcans etc.)
Anyway, a similar system has already been employed in the BOTF2 Database! The 5 Empires all have rotating pictures when you select them (So you see their icon, then a picture of a member of that race, picture of a ship, and so on)
I hope these are the sorts of things that you mean?

One should carefully read each of the descriptions for grammatical and vocabulary errors. For one, I don't think the Vulcan's have an 'empire' nor is 'The Nyrians are a humanoid race that excels at trickery of others' a perfect sentence (The Nyrians are a humanoid race that excels in decieving others).
Grammatical perfection shows our professionalism....

Sounds like it, although you could then say you are a member of the Empire of the United Federation of Planets... 8O

Heh, I knew that little Austrian was planing something ()
And the Romulans are No2, under the Federation
And, finaly, a good point Matress... While I'm glad we sorted out who is what in regard to the word empire, we still haven't solved the question, Where do the Vulcans fit?

Good. Is this list, the final decided races for the release game?
http://www.trekmania.net/temp_files/min ... akdown.htm
I don't want to write more descriptions than I need to.

The list is final as far as I know, although i'd check just in case.
There might have been changes in the few weeks since Dafedz made it, although I don't think there have been.

Most of mine probably need to be replaced anyways, most of them weren't that good, they were based off the need for generic descriptions. (BTW they are on p.1)
