Weird...that's what I been doing, but it didn't work...ah well, you guys know my computer hates me, the internet must do too...

i think its a computer related problem moe...and if your computer is so slow it cant handle a forum...........
that is truly and unbeleivably sad... time to chuck that 286 out the window and upgrade to a 386.... its lightspeeds faster
youll be able to load (get this)... GIFS... oh my how technology is moving forward...no more ANSI pictures for you my friend..

For your information, my computer is an AMD K6-2 450Mhz leviathian of computing power, and can beat this measly 286 computer that you are on about!

i just got me an alienware lappy
3.4 ghz
2 gigs of ddr2 (533mhz) ram
2x60 gb 7200 hardrives
and a nvidia gfroce 6800 graphics card 256 mb for the woop arse factor.
oh and mine can do this

I know of that company... real nice computers!
It's worth checking out their website - if you 'make' a computer on their website, you can end up with one worth £21,000!

actually i bought one because they ironically were cheaper, the model i wanted the sager 9860 can only be bought from the us, alienware and one other uk site (which was 700 quid dearer than either of the others). Well alienware came in about £100 dearer than the us site, but i thought that the customer support being closer would be worth it.
it cost me £2228 which is more than fair for a system of this power, But on the flip side that was about 400 hours of cleaning classrooms. But i tell u now ued never regret getting one. i had a nice issue that they missed in their 200 quality control point, they didnt format my second hard drive which meant i had to figure how to do it.
it benches at a 3dmark05 level of 4700
Im broke, totally broke and £600 in debt to my dad.

I guess buy the computer all over again?
I would go for that...if I could afford it (Well my student loan could...) 
Don't fancy the idea of being in debt, and anyways, it's paying for my internet as it is...

AMD K6-2 450MHz
Kyro 3D Prophet 4000 Graphics (32Mb)
1 x 4Gb Hard drive (My original Hard drive - computer doesn't even recognise it anymore though!) 
1 x 40Gb Hard drive (10Gb left for BOTF2! )
160Mb RAM
2 x USB
BT Voyager 105 ADSL Modem
1 x Floppy Drive
